After being disappointed by two previous builders—one who never showed up and the other who failed to provide a quote—I received a recommendation from a friend who had used Jade Conservatories a few years back. With this in mind, I decided to visit their office the next time I passed by. Initially, I thought I wanted an orangery, but Dean, enlightened me about the distinctions between a conservatory, an orangery, and an extension. It turned out that what I truly wanted fell into the extension category.
Once we settled on this, the size and style were determined while ensuring compliance with building regulations to avoid the need for planning permission. Dean efficiently handled the necessary building control arrangements, which were included in the overall price. Given our house's location, we also required foundation pilings, which incurred a slight additional cost but were seamlessly organised by Dean.
Within a mere couple of weeks, all the details were ironed out, and we had a start date in place for the project—ideal timing in early July 2023 to avoid weather-related delays. Unfortunately, rain arrived just as the mini digger began excavating the foundations, but this setback didn't deter the dedicated teams involved in the construction. Astonishingly, despite the challenging weather conditions we faced this summer, the project was completed on schedule.
Throughout the process, any questions or requests I had for Dean and his team were promptly addressed and fulfilled. Carl, the builder, showcased his exceptional skills in bricklaying. The brickwork is an exact match to the house. All the staff involved in the project were not only skilled but also notably polite, tidy, and consistently punctual. We're absolutely thrilled with the extension, and the extra space it provides is wonderful. The cost for the high-quality build and skilled workmanship is exceptionally fair and I like the staged payments. Without hesitation, I wholeheartedly recommend Jade Conservatories to anyone seeking a reliable team for their extension project.
