Ben and the team came highly recommended by local people involved in the building sector themselves and he absolutely lived up to the reputation Neal Construction deserves. From the initial scoping to a changing set of instructions as new ideas emerged, nothing was too much trouble. The collaborative and can do approach was first rate and I’d recommend to anybody. The whole team were conscientious, considerate and all underpinned by a passion and enthusiasm for their craft. There were a few things I was happy to compromise on but Ben, to his credit, had relentless positivity and would not concede on the quality of his own standards. I will be using them again for any future work and I’d happily advocate others doing the same.

Ben did a fantastic job taking down a load bearing wall in our home. He was courteous and professional from the first time we met, which was a whole 6 months before the work! During this time, he happily answered questions we had all the way until the day of the works. He took care of small things we asked for as well, like re-fitting a door that no longer opened after the work. His price was reasonable, and he trusted us as customers to be honest, which was greatly appreciated. The quality of the finish and the attention to detail was also both visually noticeable, and came out when answering very specific questions regarding issues like thermal bridging.

We can't recommend him enough, and we look forward to more work with him in the future.

We have recently had the pleasure of working with Ben who came recommended through our surveyor when we purchased our property. What was supposed to be a couple of simple remedial jobs, subsequently turned into a much larger project to put right a number of serious wrongs. This culminated in Ben having to completely rebuild our entire flat roof extension, rather than just patch up what can only be described as an initial total building botch job. This was devastating.

However, as a result, Ben has completely exceeded our expectations and made our new home a much better place to live.

Every day Ben brought a smile with him (as well as a number of fabulous subcontractors throughout the process), and was a total professional throughout the entire rebuild. His skills are 2nd to none, doing an excellent job, and he worked tirelessly to put right all the previous wrongs, as well as putting our minds at rest. He is an absolute machine!

He constantly kept us up to date with each process and supported us through what can only be described as a really upsetting time. It was like working with a friend.
Ben arranged everything for us, bringing in all the necessary trades and required professionals to ensure due process was adhered to. He made the entire process so much easier than it could have been. Even when our escalating job meant that it subsequently pushed his other jobs back, Ben just dealt with it as he wanted to make sure everything was put right and our house was once again watertight and habitable throughout. He never complained once, despite it being a total thorn in his side. We can’t thank him enough.

Ben has used, and constantly recommended, other trades to us so we now have a catalogue of skilled and trustworthy tradespeople to call on in the future. Electricians, plumbers, joiners, bricklayers, roofers, plasterers and even a structural engineer, you name it, Ben recommended them. The entire process restored our faith in people.

We cannot thank Ben enough and of course would recommend him to anyone thinking of undertaking a conversion or building project. We will be using Ben again later this year to sort out a number of other jobs.

This was a big job - one wall coming down, one wall going up and turning a concrete mess into a liveable space.
Ben and their team was professional, timely and adapted to the circumstances of the job well - suggesting and making changes as problems in prior work from previous contractors arose. In the end the result exceeded expectations.
Courteous and professional from the outset, from first measuring up to cleaning up at the end, dealing with other work going on at the same time and causing minimal disruption as they worked, I would heartily recommend them and will likely use them again.

I got in touch with Neal construction to discuss some of the building work which a homemoving survey recommended to be carried out after moving to a new home. Ben knows his stuff when it comes to building. He is very knowledgeable and courteous, with good, prompt communication. He was always happy to answer questions and explain what is being done and why, and is well connected in the industry if other trades are required (eg scaffolding, roofers, surveys etc). He undertook the works to a very high standard, left things neat and tidy, and turned up when he said he would.
