Before we started our project we had an old, 1980’s kitchen extension with a flat roof, the roof itself was watertight but quite dilapidated and at the end of its life. However instead of simply replacing like for like we decided to extend the original extension and change the roof to a multi angle hipped design.

Such a radical change required a full set of architectural drawings and planning permission, to achieve the latter we needed to engage a structural engineer and building inspectors. This was a pretty daunting prospect to people who had never engaged in such activities before and we approached the whole undertaking with a considerable degree of trepidation.

At our first consultation Jon explained all the steps and processes in a logical and easily understood manner and afterwards we were confident that the whole project was possible.

Jon produced the building plans, dealt with the details of the planning application with the local council and engaged and liaised with the structural engineers and building inspectors on our behalf, reducing what, to a layman, was a confusing process to a series of simple steps that we could understand.

The final result was more than we had hoped for, a great extension and as trouble free project as we could have wished for and I cannot recommend Jon highly enough.

As a widow I made my first major decision on my own and bought a very dated and run down bungalow but in a beautiful location. Top class service. For anyone wanting drawings for building work, we highly recommend Complete Plans. Jon is extremely professional, super-efficient and a very nice person to deal with.
