Henderson and Taylor were employed by St Albans Council to replace the footpath along the street and outside my property in January 2024.

The builders that attended the site arrived with a van with the registration W*19 D*A. I know the full reg but I am using * to keep the reg confidential.

The builders used foul language (including the words beginning with F and C) at the top of their lungs directly outside my property during working hours. I was at home with my toddler and I was, and still am, completely disgusted at how they behaved. I know builders are not the most verbose human beings, however, they should have the awareness to recognise when they are working in a residential area and to keep foul language to a minimum.

My front door opens directly on to my living room. The builders knew I was at home and they still put their portable radio on my windowless and blasted Heatt FM radio as loudly as they could.

I phoned Henderson and Taylors office on 30 January 2024 asking for the site manager to phone me back. The site manager never had the decency to contact me, and this shows what type of organisation this is.

I wanted to thank the team who laid the pavement in Gordon Road, Shenfield. The work was completed quickly and efficiently and the team were friendly, polite and accommodating with allowing access and exit in a small cul de sac.

During the regeneration of Gabriel’s Hill in Maidstone they had to change the footway into our shop.

The job was bodged. They used the wrong tiles which they did not grout in the joints and got excess grout over the paintwork of the shop.

Despite numerous complaints to both them, and the council no one has ever come back to rectify.
