Subsidence advice - Recently, I was looking to buy an investment property that suffered subsidence approximately a year ago. A surveyor acting on behalf of the freeholders insurance company had produced a very non-committal report which left me feeling very unsure on how to proceed. With very short notice, Paul reviewed both an initial report compiled at the time of the occurrence & a subsequent report written in August 2020. With his experience of subsidence & his local knowledge of the area, he supplied me with a summary report, detailing what he believed were potential causes, necessary actions he would expect to be taken to correctly identify cause & advised on repair schemes. As there has been no repair plan yet provided, this is incredibly useful to me in order to make a decision on what to do next.
I am very grateful to Paul as he has almost certainly prevented me from rushing into a bad purchase that could cause me significant problems and costs in the short and long-term. I will definitely call upon Affinity Structures for future projects.
