My husband and I went to see Lynne Boothroyd with regards to a new house in Hackwood Range, Mickelover. She was absolutely excellent. She was very thorough and professional and there was nothing that she could not answer. I was very impressed and my first impression of everything was very good.

There are 3 excellent show homes which illustrate the range of properties for sale. The staff were very helpful in explaining the methods to buy available. It was also helpful to have a financial advisor present. We had a brief exploratory meeting with him and within 15 minutes he had obtained mortgage quotes. The terms of the contracts were explained clearly. One advisor took the trouble to go to the show home while we were inspecting and explain how the plot available differed from the show home. We were then taken on a walk round the estate so we could see the location of the plot we were interested in. We took an hour or so to reflect and changed our mind on the plot to purchase and the scheme we wanted to use. But nothing was too much trouble for the advisor and we are pleased to say we have reserved a plot which definitely meets all our requirements.

This is a well thought out housing development, the unique design of the individual house types compliment each other and contribute to a happy familiarity. The staff in the sales office were friendly and knowledgeable. The show houses were faultless. Can't wait until we get ours. UPDATE: sadly the sales staff failed to inform me and my partner we would be 11th in line for the plots we discussed with them and confirmed we wanted, we are both very disappointed. Shows they are sought after homes but we will now go and spend +450k with another developer with a reasonable timeline.

Nice development. Professional consultant Toni gave us a very detailed hour tour. We really love the houses, which are modern, spacious and have good floor plans.

Unfortunately, we will not be recommending Redrow to anyone from now on. The customer service has been very poor and we have completely had our time wasted regarding our water logged garden.

We have also had issues with our shared driveway. Shortly after we moved in we were told the driveway was being relayed. We weren't told why nor did they ask for our permission to do so. After the driveway was relayed it looked it looked terrible and is having to be relayed once again.

Great looking houses, but terrible aftercare. We are now making a claim via the NHBC about our garden.

Staff not really that interested we popped in on the off chance that we could look round, no one took any details from us. We discussed budget only to be told if we could push that up we could get the largest house available just to have a small study! No thanks, we'll go somewhere we are listened to!

We actually live on the estate and when we bought this house one year ago we were sold the house with with the sales patter that the social housing on this estate, tenants would be vetted. Well let’s just say this clearly is not the case. Despite numerous Incidents on the estate involving some of these tenants, both Redrow, Sage and the council are not interested in sorting the problems out. Despite numerous emails from lots of tenants regarding the problems on this estate. Then we have the lack of quality from the builders who build the homes on this site. Redrow design nice homes but it seems they cannot build them to a consistently good standard. Corners cut and bad workmanship is rife on this estate as many residents have problems with their homes. We are currently waiting for our shared driveway to be taken up and relaid for the third time one year later. But that is the tip of the ice berg. There have been many, many problems on this site.
If I were looking to move to Mickleover I would not consider this development as Redrow customer service is the worst I have ever come across. I would choose Bloors if I knew what I know now. The roads are topped off, the site is clean, no social housing and better customer service. On a professional basis I deal with all home builders in the Derby and surrounding areas and I can say that Redrow need to up their game considerably.
