Hinton Cook Architects were recommended to us and we are glad to have instructed them. Gavin and his team have worked closely with us on our self build project successfully handling planning issues on our behalf, sourcing suppliers and resolving problems to keep our project moving. We have greatly benefitted from their skills, experience and positive attitude and plan to continue our good working relationship on a future project.

Working with the team at Hinton Cook has been a great experience, I've worked with a few architects over the years and Gavin is by far the easiest to get on with, most proactive and most importantly, most attuned to my 'house style'. The project (300SQM timber-frame contemporary build in Oxfordshire) to date (first fix) has gone smoothly with only a few hurdles, all of which were dealt with efficiently along the way. Good talented people; a really nice team to work with.

Over the last year Sam has been helping and guiding me on a complete house remodel, producing ideas based on my thoughts but with an architect's eye. Help with materials and colours has been particularly helpful as has handling the planning application and all of those intricacies. Hinton Cook were also able to help in finding builders that they'd worked with before which helped take some stress out of that decision. Now were firmly in the build stage I appreciate the quick turnaround on the little questions that come up. Don't try a big project without a good architect!

Having a possible future project but with no clear ideas of what we wanted or how we wanted to use the space, left us indecisive, that was until we met with Gavin who very patiently listened to both our views, mostly conflicting ones as to what we wanted to get out of our distant dream.

Gavin talked us through ideas we hadn't even considered and made us see a bigger picture of what could be possible.
He did however point out that there was an option to do nothing and enjoy what we already had and that we should take time to way up all the ideas.

We have subsequently met with Gavin on several occasions to develop the ideas further and at every meeting we have felt confident of his commitment and passion in attaining the right solution for us. Nothing fanciful but still creative, respecting the old but offering the new.
His action plans have been precise and we are feeling confident that we will all achieve the perfect result.
