Benchmark Architects designed a two storey extension to replace the existing single storey extension on our 19th century Duke of Bedford Cottage in Ampthill. They were very professional, quick to respond, and pleasant to deal with throughout. Getting the planning permission on a listed building and making the most of the limited space available were both areas where their input was especially valuable. We are currently looking at concepts for extending our house with Benchmark. Starting with the initial consultation, they listened to our requirements and wishes in an approachable and collaborative way, they then organised a survey and have been responsive with presenting our concepts.

We are looking forward to their ideas for our house and we are excited to continue working with them if we proceed with a build. We feel positive that they are there to support us if we do proceed, but not under pressure if we don’t; either way, we are confident that we can continue in a way that works for us in the next few years!
