Paul was amazing. I had concerns on a build I was on, I found Paul online and contacted him for structural calculations, he can put first thing next morning. Took complete control of everything. Structural report, contacting and sorting building regs and most importantly passed me on to the steel fabricators. Had Paul come and do a survey for some work we are planning in our church/office building.
He gave a thorough inspection, guiding me along the way. It's my first time using any structural engineer and I must say he's a great guy, very clear, willing to explain and I'd learnt a lot just from the time he was there (1 hour-ish). He went above and beyond for us.

Not to mention fitting me into his diary very quick!

I needed structural calculations on a wall coming down between kitchen and dining room on quite a tight deadline. I phoned Paul after looking at his reviews and he was very helpful, always answered queries on the spot or would ring or email back. He fitted me in for a visit very quickly and gave me a lot of advice. My builder is very happy with him too! Building control requested some structural calculations and clarification on a few technical points on my build so I called Paul. He was really helpful.

He turned up punctually and liaised with the building inspector on site. He suggested a simpler design then the one they initially wanted saving a lot of unnecessary work.
Afterwards he produced the report with calculations and drawings promptly. Very happy with his service.

After we were let down big by our builder regarding a side double extension in that the extension was built but the builder had not completed the foundations to drawings and were not adequate so we could not get it signed off with inspector. Builder left us in this state not wanting anything to do with it. So we were left with a extension that could not get passed off by building control. Only option was looking like a complete knock down and rebuild.
Not knowing what to do this is where Paul Silvester design comes in. As soon as i made the call he understood the situation and thanks to Paul and his hard work we now have a completed extension signed off with building control. Great work thankyou.
