Not the best experience but I am ultimately happy with the windows. The communication between sales, surveyor and fitter was dreadful. I was sold a solution to a child’s bedroom window by sales which the manufacturer doesn’t even make. The surveyor sent the manufacturer incorrect measurements on 2 windows and even though the signed contract was correct the surveyor called me a liar over the phone. The fitters were good and very tidy but I’m disappointed with the making good of the walls.

From start to finish County provided excellent customer service - they responded promptly to enquires and were always courteous and helpful. They took it in their stride when we changed our choices about a dozen times!
On the day of fitting the team turned up promptly, they were professional and friendly, and worked to a high-end of detail leaving the site clean and tidy.
We are very pleased with our new door and happy to recommend.

I have had 4 new bespoke wood sash windows from county and I couldn't be happier.
From initial discussions to measuring and design, ordering and installation the process was easy and every individual I dealt with was nothing other than incredibly helpful.
I couldn't recommend them highly enough if you have a specific, bespoke requirement.
The difference the new windows have made to the house is life changing. Both in teens of energy efficiency and noise cancelation.

Very unprofessional customer service. Mark Faulkner attended to give me a quote for a front door. This was two weeks ago and I have had no contact from Mark or the company since. I have called the sales office, who assured me Mark would email the quote to me. Two days later, no quote. I then emailed the sales office and Mark and have had no reply from either. I then called the sales office again who, again, said Mark would email me. I then decided to call Mark directly and there was no answer.
I received no quote and no response at all to my numerous attempts to obtain the quote.
You would think they didn’t want the business. Very unprofessional and I wouldn’t trust them as a result of this.

The Lady at Tunbridge Wells showrooms told me as much as she could to help me. I think it was her who showed me the doors in showrooms, I wanted to see. Also pulled out various brochures which all helped me take back useful stuff home tor my wife and I to discuss what we wanted. Also a salesman was there who talked further, gave me more brochures. Their combined teamwork really helped me.

We got quotes from several companies and County seemed to give the most thorough advice and options without any sales pressure. We didn't want the absolute cheapest but didn't want to spend a fortune either and at the same time wanted a decent quality product, County seemed to get the balance just right and so we placed the order.

The installation team arrived as promised and got straight to work, they had quite a lot of windows, doors and bifold doors to fit and they got straight to work. So unlike your typical builder experience, no radios blaring or continuous tea breaks or mess everywhere, they always tidied up at the end of the day and they even washed up the cups afterwards!

So anyway the work was completed as planned and we're so far very pleased with the results, really cannot find anything to fault. We had sash windows, bi-fold and a tri-fold door installed and they all perform well and look excellent.

Would I use them again or recommend to others? - yes I would.

Poor communication throughout. They wrongly assumed party wall could be used and was almost built upon. Project was not managed and relied on us chasing and directing them. Got the impression they lost interest half way through the project and certainly no pride in their work towards the end. We were led to believe some items (eg skirting and step) were included as they were discussed and measured during survey. Then told they weren't included and we'd have to pay extra. Plastering at base of wall so poor that we have no choice but to add skirting ourselves. Finished project was not checked at the end and left very untidy (dirt, dust, cement and plaster left on new frames). 5 stars for chasing interim payments other than one occassion when they called at 8am for £3k as a crew was en route (but we hadn't been asked for payment/sent invoice before then). This is a short review but I could write a book on the shortcomings. Overall, construction seems solid (so far so good) and the crews were friendly and professional. Sour taste left in the mouth by a list of problems and I certainly wouldn't recommend to anyone.
