We were looking for an architect with a proven record of working with the local planning department, who understood and appreciated the vernacular of the wider area as well as the immediate surroundings. We had no hesitation in engaging Tim Offer Architect after seeing the quality of previous work and discussing our brief during the initial consultation.
TOA's collaborative style made them easy to work with across all phases of the project from the evolution of the design until final completion. From the very beginning the knowledge, experience and architectural flair was obvious. Consequently we enjoyed the project experience.
Tasked with our brief of opening up our lovely but small barn conversion to provide more light, space and a better relationship with the garden, TOA hit the brief bang on. The hugely detailed building pack made it easy for the building contractor to convert the design into reality.
We are delighted with the end result that mixes modern design and materials with the existing traditional stone and slate. We now have an amazing home we can relax in and finally breathe.

Tim was a great help in getting the best result for a two storey extension. He clearly understood what was required and overcame the design constraints imposed by the planning authority. Both with design and project management I found Tim to be most helpful in explaining the process and what was involved. I am very pleased with the final result.
