Hiring this company to fix my roof was like asking a toddler to bake a cake—chaotic, messy, and ultimately inedible. The craftsmanship? Well, let’s just say it looks like they let a group of squirrels loose with a hammer and nails. The shingles are a patchwork of misalignment, with gaps wide enough to start a new ventilation system. I’ve seen more cohesive designs from a puzzle missing half the pieces.

As for the design choices, who knew mismatched colors and jagged lines could be considered "modern"? It’s like they were trying to create a “minimalist” vibe, but forgot that minimalism also requires some level of thought. The roof looks like it was thrown together in the middle of a windstorm.

And then there’s the execution. Let’s just say I didn’t need a rainstorm to know the flashing was installed wrong—Mother Nature did me a solid and confirmed it with a lovely leak right after the first downpour. But that’s not the worst part. The workers left more debris in my yard than a construction site during a tornado. I had to spend an afternoon cleaning up, which I didn’t think I’d need to do after paying someone to do the job.

When I tried to get in touch with them, they vanished faster than my money did. If you’re looking for quality and professionalism, you might want to try… literally anywhere else.

After loads of other things cropped up we finally managed to get the wall in the back bedroom re-plastered. One of these other things was repairing the roof, a fault that had contributed massively to the need for plastering.
I was so glad that I contacted Lee J Botting. We’ve seen vans in the area many times and I always think a busy builder is likely to be a good one. Charlie visited and produced a quote that was in the same area costwise as our other quote.
The firm fitted in with our timescale and eventually the work was done. We were able to leave two weeks between removing the old plaster and applying the new. Hopefully this will have given the wall a chance to dry out completely.
Regrettably I can’t remember the name of the young man who did the work but he did such a good job that the wall is now perfect and ready for redecoration. He was a pleasant chap who got on with the work, kept us informed on progress, finished in good time and left us with no clearing up to do. A thoroughly professional job.
I would recommend Lee J Botting to anyone having plastering work done. I can only imagine that all of their work is of such a high quality.

LJB Lee Botting dropped a leaflet in my door and I made a punt after having called numerous plumbers who never ever got back to me. Not only did they quote a very decent price on a larger bathroom project we want to do, but quoted inexpensively and did a very small tap change in our kitchen. Bailey arrived on time and was so pleasant and professional and did the tap change really quickly. This is going to be a long term relationship with LJB...Thank you and see you soon.

It can be hard to contact many tradespeople as most don't reply to emails, messages or voicemails, however each time I have contacted LJB, I have received a reply the same day, with someone visiting to provide an estimate inside a week. The work we had was completed by polite, efficient and professional tradespeople and to a good standard.

So very disappointed as requested to speak to the manager after a job was completed and was told by his office ‘he won’t call you back’. I was gobsmacked! I’ve emailed twice and still not had a reply to either emails let alone the phone call. Shocked is an understatement! Why do they not reply? I guess as they’d had payment they simply don’t care. I had to get another Eastbourne company out to rectify the problem Lj Botting had caused. Beware! ☹️
