I used Dowling Building Solutions to renovate my house, I needed a new bathroom, kitchen, and had the rest of the house refurbished as well as having a damp proof course a huge job, but Dowling Building Solutions completed the work on time to a very high standard, they also put up with me asking for extra jobs and completed them with a smile. They made some very good suggestions which I took advantage of and they were very accommodating throughout the whole process. I cannot recommend highly enough. If you decide to employ them to do your work you will not be disappointed.

We bought a house that needed a major renovation - lots of re-plastering, roofing works, joinery, damp proofing etc etc. Nick gave us a detailed quote for the works and carefully worked alongside us (we were doing a lot of the work ourselves) to get the job finished as planned and us moved in on time.

It struck me how well organised and professional they were about their work which was delivered to a very high quality. Lovely bunch of guys that couldn't do enough to help. They were honest and open, with good comms - something you don't always see in the building trade.

I keep in touch with Nick and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to renovate a house.

Nick and his crew have been terrific throughout our project to repair cracks in a wall, removing stubborn plants from exterior wall, weatherproofing wall, removing outhouse, preparing and plastering kitchen walls and ceiling , clearing the gutters and repairing and painting exterior wall.

The standard of work has been excellent throughout and they have always showed consideration while working. They communicate swiftly and clearly and are willing to talk through solutions to problems that crop up and offer general advice without making us feel silly for not having the same depth of knowledge and expertise as them. They took the time to understand our project and keep us updated throughout.

They have been flexible and understanding as we navigated around the rapid changes to covid restrictions, periods of self isolation and weather and kept us updated throughout.

It’s been a really positive experience and would have no hesitation in using them again and recommending them to everyone else.

COVID 19 meant that i work from home now using Zoom all day. Unfortunately the family above me have 2 small children aged about 2 and 4 - both of them enjoy running round the flat all day, jumping off the sofa, chasing the dog and falling over. As i live in an old building converted to flats i had zero sound reduction and the running was causing the joists in the ceiling to make a terrible impact noise. It was affecting my work and enjoyment of my property.

Dowling spent a week fitting sound reduction materials to a lowered ceiling in 2 rooms which has significantly reduced the joist refraction (my lounge lights no longer shake when upstairs walk) . They were friendly, honest about what could be achieved and upfront with costs and time scales.

Having the work done has brought the added benefit of creating better heating insulation and i look forward to a cozy, quieter winter now. White noise from upstairs in reduced in the two rooms.

If i had the money i would look to get all areas of the flat done - its made that much of a difference!
