Absolutely DREADFUL. I would advise anyone and everyone to steer well clear of this company, or any other companies owned by Simon Brookes from Stourbridge.
I hired this company to block off an existing internal doorway with a stud wall and insert a stained glass window in it’s place, plaster the same, fit skirting and architrave and also level a small area of flooring and relay laminate. There was not one single bit of the entire job that was done to an acceptable standard. The skirting board stuck out so much I couldn’t open the door properly, the plastering was uneven, patchy and looked as though it had been put on using a slingshot from across the other side of the room. Where the wall met the ceiling they didn’t plaster, they filled with some sort of caulk or silicone, which could not be painted over… and even this wasn’t smooth!
The window that they installed wasn’t level and they used old architrave to bodge together a frame (that I didn’t want) in order to hide more of the shoddy plastering. The corners of which were SHOCKING (photos attached).
The floor bounced when I stepped on it. Their answer was that it would be ok once the skirting board was put on. (Another job that they failed to complete). They assured me they had used self leveller and it had been done correctly. When I took the laminate up myself (because they refused to come back to put it right) I found large areas of lumpy cement had been used. The flooring was nowhere near level or even.
I could honestly go on forever. Please, please, please do not employ this man or his associates. It is going to cost me more to fix their poor workmanship than it was to have the work done.
