I went with my wife to view a Mulgrave property recently priced at £400,000. We liked the property and explained that we had a buyer for our property which more than covered the above price but we would not have access to it for a few months. The sales agent Julie who was acting (and was absolutely first class in the way she performed her role) for the Mulgrave owners was astonished that we were turned down for a sale because we could not act quickly enough for them despite the fact we are not in a chain. It would seem that whoever turned us down expects the house buying public to come up with £400,000 in an instant which as most of us who live in the real world know that this is not how things work. I got the impression that the builders are somewhat naive and unrealistic and we have somewhat lost confidence in their ability to conduct their business in a sensible and realistic manner. Although we liked the property there were a few issues that needed resolving one of which related to health and safety, another related to a structure in an adjoining garden which could potentially cause damage to the perimeter fence and incredibly in view of the fact there is a fully fitted kitchen in the property, no house alarm fitted making the property a risk for anyone putting down a deposit. We were astonished by this very serious error! We hope that someone at Mulgrave comes to their senses and accepts our genuine interest and a possible sale !

We moved into our property in March 2023 attracted by the lovely mix of the modern and traditional in a Mulgrave-built home. Bethany, the sales agent gave friendly and professional advice from start to finish and ensured a smooth move.
The only thing I would say, we were keen to move as soon as our house was completed and Mulgrave were keen to have us in, which in turn meant that there was a rush to build completion at the end and consequently plenty of minor snagging issues to follow up. In spite of this, the customer care team have been great, completing the finish of our house to an excellent standard and nothing has been too much trouble. At our request, the team even re-built our front step to a more functional layout, which was service we would say was over and above and sets Mulgrave apart from other house builders.
I wouldn't hesitate recommend Mulgrave to prospective buyers.

Julie was a fantastic help to aid us in our first ever property purchase.

Our experience with mulgraves from start to finish has been fantastic, I would recommend them to anybody buying a new build. Bethany, our sales rep has been so helpful throughout, always on hand to help us. We recieved so many extras that other developers would consider "optional" and then charge a fortune. We love our new home on church farm. We decided to have our own carpets fitted with a different company and on completion we discovered that our doors had all been shaved by the mulgrave builders at no charge. Any snag we picked up on our demo was rectified before we moved in.

We are very happy with our decision to purchase a new house from Mulgrave. Moving house is stressful business, but the sales team were always very patient and support throughout the purchasing process (much more pleasurable to deal with than the various solicitors!) and they made sure to accommodate us and our needs. It was really reassuring service.

It would also be remiss to not mention the fantastic after care service we have received. Where perhaps some builders would say “thank you and goodbye” after you get your keys, Mulgrave have been there to support and check in on us even more than a month later! We did have a few quality problems with the property when we moved in, but they have always come straight over to sort everything out and still continue providing excellent customer care. Could not fault them at all, and would certainly recommend over other builders in the UK.

Moving into our new home on Church Farm in Tockwith a week before Christmas could have been very stressful, but our experience was considerably eased by the professionalism of Bethany and Graham who were on hand to help with the transition. Bethany was a valuable support, both in the run up to moving day and afterwards, with her practical and calm approach to any potential issues, ready to deal with solicitors and tradesmen alike! Always pleasant and cheerful, she responded quickly and efficiently to requests for help, and phone calls and emails were returned promptly. As with any new house there were snags, but Graham dealt with these in his usual unflappable manner, sorting out the more urgent problems with speed and ensuring more minor issues weren't overlooked. Always courteous and approachable, Graham has been a pleasure to deal with. One of our main issues here has been the quality of the landscaping. Due to the rush to get us into the house in time, the turf was laid in water-logged conditions and the plants merely deposited on the top soil. (We did say we were willing to wait to have the garden installed.) These problems are now being rectified. We have also had problems with flooding in the garage after recent storms, but again are happy that remedial work has been carried out and the situation is being monitored. An issue more difficult to solve is the positioning of the light switches downstairs; there is no light switch in the utility room meaning that any entrance by the side door at night is conducted in the dark! apparently this is a design fault and has been noted. That said, we are very satisfied with the style and finish of our new home and the attention to detail in the building and would be happy to recommend Mulgrave Homes to any potential buyers!
