Josh is absolutely brilliant.

We recently appointed GreenTrace Architect to plan a renovation of a Victorian terrace, including a kitchen extension and a loft extension. Josh was really friendly and communicative, he did a great job of listening to our ideas as well as suggesting his own where we weren't quite sure what we wanted. He was very prompt when answering emails, and when making small alterations to plans as the project progressed.

Josh also recommended the builder we used, with whom Josh had worked before. He organised a trip for us to visit some previous clients they'd worked with together so we could see an example of their work. This recommendation was excellent, we are absolutely delighted with the result.

Besides the plans, Josh also helped us design our loft bathroom, picture is attached - we absolutely love it! He put in such excellent attention to detail here to help us maximise the available space.

I worked with Green Trace on an extension project in BS6. Josh was knowledgeable, professional, set clear expectations and worked to a consistently high standard throughout the project. He was responsive and clear in all communications. He had excellent knowledge on sustainable building techniques and materials, and was able to balance this with an understanding of the needs, constraints and aspirations of his clients. He endeavoured to find creative solutions to the inevitable challenges of extending a Victorian building.
Our project did not ultimately proceed, for reasons entirely outside the architect's control.
He wasn't the cheapest quote I received but I think he charged fairly for his work, and would recommend Green Trace as good value, good to work with, professional and high quality. Would work together again.

Josh designed a garden studio office for us at the rear of our Redland terraced house adjacent to an existing garage. He was very responsive to our specific design needs; to create a working space that was functional, warm and aesthetic. Through several careful iterations Josh produced a stunning design that fully met the brief, to create a fabulous studio. The light, warmth, ventilation and utility of the space are exceptional. We would certainly enlist his services again for any future design and build project.

Josh’s enthusiasm was infectious and the quality of the final design is phenomenal - we ended up with a house that suits us perfectly, is extremely energy efficient and is better than we had ever hoped for. Josh was on hand throughout the process and, for self-builders like us, his responsiveness and the help he provided was extremely reassuring. The project passed planning with just three minor amends and the entire build came in on time and on budget. I am sure this is at least partly down to how Josh listened carefully to our requirements from the start and kept them in mind when creating the final plans.
