When planning our extension and bathroom project we were recommended Bannister Builders and it was definitely the right choice. The team were professional and skilled in their work and offered us advice and support where needed. All the builders were friendly, polite and showed respect to both us and our property. I can't recommend them highly enough.

1. Build a first floor extension.
2. Install a completely new central heating system, boiler, unvented cylinder and all new radiators.
3. Install kitchen bi-fold doors.
4. Install Juliet balcony on our first floor.

Once I supplied Luke with the architect's drawings and he had completed a site survey, within 1 week I had received a very detailed quote with a complete breakdown of work and pricings.

- Luke and his team provided a completely stress free experience supplying all tradesmen for various jobs from within their own team.
- They dealt with building control whilst payments were made in 5 stages as the job was completed and signed off which made the whole process reassuring.
- The team stayed within budget so there was no need to use any of my contingency fund.
- In terms of timing I was quoted six weeks to have the bulk of the work done and they comfortably met this target.

I would especially like to thank Steve and Sam for the diligent and meticulous workmanship. This is a very professional outfit focused on providing great customer service.

This is the third house I have owned, and this is the best experience I’ve ever had with any builders in 35 years.

Simply can’t speak highly enough of Bannisters. We have used Luke and the team on 3 different house projects, the biggest being a conversion of our garage roof space into offices. The quality of work is exceptional, and during the work the site is left clean and organised. The guys on site are really professional and friendly . They even stopped behind one evening to take down some temporary boarding to allow emergency access.

You know you are on to a good thing when your neighbours comment on how polite and speedy the team are.

After a lot of searching and through a recommendation from friends, we appointed Bannister Builders to build two extensions, one was for a larger kitchen and one to remove and replace a conservatory with a permanent garden room.

After an initial meeting with Luke, who talked us through the whole process, we felt at ease straight away. This is a family orientated business, where the whole team have a long history with each other.

The work itself was scheduled to take around 12 weeks, but, as we added a few extra things onto the list, and a couple of material delays (not the builders fault), it ended up at closer to 14 weeks, and was completed just before Christmas 2023.

From day one, with Ben and Dave squeezing a mini digger down the side of the house to dig the footings, to the final fitting of the kitchen units by Sam (Noddy) and Steve, new doors fitted by Sam (B), plumbing work by Nick and electrical services from John, the whole process ran very smoothly. As expected, there were a few issues along the way, but, the team communicated with us throughout and these were dealt with professionally and to our standards.

Despite being quite specific about what we wanted, the level of workmanship was excellent. The team were friendly through the whole project, it was a pleasure to have the guys undertake the work for us. We wouldn't hesitate in not only recommending them, we have already got the next project in mind.

So, if you need any building work done, we would highly recommend the team at Bannisters.

Had Luke and his team in to do a bathroom renovation recently. From start to finish they were nothing but perfect. Luke came to take details of the job and advised on some more technical topics regarding the fit to make sure the project went smoothly, then offered me a very competitive quote. The day before the job he visited and gave his colleague a full run down of the job details, communication was perfect! During the job itself Nick and Ben were fantastic, so knowledgable, friendly and genuinely nice guys. There was 2 snags with a leaky seal and an isolator not working but quickly and efficiently they were sorted with ease. I was worried about a carpet that had been recently replaced but full protection was fitted, all rubbish tidily sorted out. The end result… wow! I couldn’t have asked Luke and his team for anything more. The workmanship is 12/10, such a high quality finish. Highly recommended and we will be having them back to remove a kitchen load bearing wall. One very happy customer!!

Bannister Builders, what can I say and where do I start, I was looking for a building company to complete an attic extension and also extend off the back of the house ground floor level, I reached out to 4 building company’s for quotes and Bannister Builders came back 3rd most expensive out of the 4, we decided to go with Bannister Builders for a few reasons, Luke was approachable, offered guidance as I knew nothing, he was patient with me however stupid the question was and responded to my emails really quick with answers to questions, explained and detailed what the payment plan would look like and timelines, when the work began Luke and the team weee great I have two young children and safety was of a high standard, site was always tidy and all of the guys were really polite the kids loved them, they always kept you in the loop with what was happening one day to the next, they always ensured you knew exactly what was going on, this made me feel at ease. Everything was invoiced in detail including receipts of payment.

Work completed both for attic extension with en-suite built in wardrobes and, large extension off the back of the house with by-folds was exceptional, I have not been able to fault the workmanship that has gone into both builds, not once have I had to call them to check something that has been at fault.

Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and I definitely got that, if you want a job done and want peace of mind it’s going to get done to a very high quality then these guys are the ones to do the job.
