The is the last time I pay for their services. I really don’t have the mental capacity to go through uploading documents, then changing the same documents to suit an ‘assessors’ opinion, then have to re submit them, to then be asked to re submit them again, to suit another ‘assessors’ preference. It’s a continuous loop of misery and despair. All for what? A couple of trade discounts, vista print labels and a certificate signed by some geezer getting off on other people’s misery of submitting various pointless documents.

If you actually care so much about mental health and wellbeing policies, and protecting those in the work force. Ask those pen pushing assessors to get a life and spare us workers from the despair and misery they are causing!

1000’s of pounds a year for literally nobody to ask for a Chas certificate!

Absolutely appalling don't waste your time. I was asked by a contract to sign up to this to maintain the contract. The process is completely confusing asking for things you wouldn't naturally have as a sole trader and when I decided to just bite the bullet and withdraw no refund could be offered.

Terrible service from a company that actually offers very little in terms of a product! We've been stuck in a loop on their system now for 3 weeks which is preventing them from issuing our certification. All documents have been uploaded and approved and yet they're unable to issue our certification - but they're more than happy to take our £2k!

Would give 0 stars if it was possible to.

We've used CHAS for years so thought our renewal would be straightforward as it normally is. It has now been a month since purchasing our renewal and like other reviews have stated, a 'technical issue' is preventing our 100% complete profile from being submitted for assessment.
Zero communication from CHAS. Numerous phone calls and chats. No resolution and no returned calls as promised. Just an absolute shambles and meanwhile our SSIP has lapsed and we have customers waiting on our new certificate and we can't even advise them a date when we'll have it.
This seems to have coincided with CHAS being acquired by Veriforce. It's a disgrace.
CHAS if you're reading this and want to reach out, you have our details.

I would give no stars for this terrible company.Absolute rubbish, I lost 3 weeks work because of their fault on the accreditation due to technical issues.
They cost me around £1500 in losses and I eventually got a refund and went with the SSIP accreditation which was straight forward.
I will never ever use CHAS again.

If i could have given 0 stars I would have.

We were notified that our membership was going to expire in the next 14 days which meant an expiry date of mid October, we paid for our 12 month membership in December so not sure how this can happen?

7 or 8 30-60 minute phone calls later, several emails responded to, passed from pillar to post, it is apparent there is no one ever available to take the call and resolve the issue. They always ask you to ring back or promise to get a manager to call back which never happens and it is an endless circle.

Having dealt with CHAS for the best part of 15 years across several of our companies I cannot believe how badly we are being treated.

The issue here is that CHAS are potentially messing with the future of our business because they have wrongly expired our subscription meaning our certification is invalid and in turn could impact the outcome of several framework agreements our company has recently applied for.

It may be time for us to seek alternative services from the likes of safe contractor, achilles or acclaim and based on my current experience I would advise others to do the same.

Horrendous company to deal with. For a "Tick Box" company that does not really add any value to what it is doing, the customer service support is terrible. Companies need to stop specifying CHAS, especially when Constructionline, SSIP all do the same, why does it have to be all of them. SSIP was brought out to stop this, yet all 3 still be specified. Waste of time and money

Very Poor - If I could give zero stars, I would. Paid renewal membership in August, but despite various emails and spending over an hour on the phone, I still cannot update our company information on the CHAS portal. I have been passed from one department to another and back again and struggled to get any commitment as to when this will be sorted.
