I found Whitfield Architects through the RIBA website and from the first contact was impressed with the speed at which Mark and Liane replied to any queries, and the accuracy of their estimations for how long each stage was likely to take.

I'm very happy with my garage conversion and the spaces created, and, thanks to their expertise, had no problems with either planning permission or building control.

We have been working with Liane and Mark at Whitfield Architects since autumn 2019 until summer 2023 on a 1960s 3 bed to 5 bed home with extension, remodel, garage and loft conversion and gym shed build with post planning approval (determination of conditions) for a bike store.

We found them through the RIBA website and have been so impressed from start to finish. We met with Mark many times before Covid and have had excellent email communication with Liane. We cannot express how much we have enjoyed and been impressed by their communication and care as well as the design and application process with Whitfield Architects.

Welcoming Mark back to view the finished project post Covid was like welcoming a friend round. We were so proud and grateful for what we have achieved together. Mark understood us, our family and our needs, wishes and dreams. He listened and expertly drove us in the right direction for the design.

We decided we wanted a single storey extension at the back of the house so met with a few architects before we decided to go with Mark & Liane at Whitfield. When we met Mark the first time we just knew he was the architect we wanted to work with, he just seemed to be on our wave length.

We liked the way he structured his quote, it covered all levels of service that Mark provided so you could choose what you wanted. He produced 2 options for us to look at, both were great & it was easy to decide how we moved forward.

Mark then ensured the whole process of finalising drawings, getting the necessary planning approvals & structural calculations went seamlessly well.

It was a great experiences and completely stress free, they are a great team. Our builders & kitchen supplier all worked to Marks drawings with absolutely no issues and the finished product is perfect, exactly a Mark designed it. I highly recommend Whitfield Architects to all.

I'm really glad we chose Whitfield Architects, Mark and Liane have been great throughout the process of designing our new open plan space for the ground floor. Mark listened carefully to what we wanted and added his own two designs to show other potential ways to use the space. He then worked with us to create the final plan. As this was our first time renovating we felt well informed with what was happening and Liane quickly responded to any questions and explained everything perfectly. The communication has been amazing throughout the whole process and I'm very much looking forward to making the plans come to life!

After the service we received I can definitely recommend Whitfield Architects.
We wanted to convert our 1920's loft into a liveable space, but needed it to conform with building regulations in order to classify it as a bedroom.
We spoke to a few companies who all suggested given its limited height it would be very difficult to do, so we used Whitfield Architects who carefully created plans which would conform.
Throughout the whole process, Mark listened and involved us; incorporating our ideas to create plans that we love – and most importantly comply with building regulations!
