I believe they've thought of everything here. A fabulous Aladin's Cave of everything you didn't realise you needed, there really is everything from hardware, to gardening to pets, to knitting, to crafts, cards, and snacks. Add in the wonderful service and encyclopedic knowledge of the staff and you have the perfect shop for pros, amateurs and emergencies, as well as a lovely place to see what takes your fancy. Altogether a brilliant store that I will definitely go back to.

Absolutely disgusting people with outrageous and very high prices. Extremely rude staff wouldn’t advise taking a trip here. Also not a very clean place the, mugs on the shelf are full of dust

Excellent shop. Needed some screws for a shelf. Assistant checked off the screw head sizes to help me find the right size. Can buy individual screws rather than a big box which is super helpful for small jobs. Free parking outside the shop and the shop has step free access. Great service and good prices.

A proper, old-fashioned type hardware store, where you can buy various nails, bolts and screws by weight! The staff are exceptionally friendly and several have really good experience and backgrounds, making them useful people to know 🙂

They reasonable selection of tools, but also have some good gardening equipment and some great household items.

A 20 + year supporter of Goring Hardware Store and always appreciated the helpful service. However, this morning (Sunday 14th June), I was very irritated with the dismissive and poor customer service I received from the man serving me. I was queuing as expected with about 5 or 6 people in front of me. I asked for some metres of netting and was requested to step aside while this was being done to allow another customer to be served. I offered to pay and I was told: "Nope, just step aside". The next customer had a complicated and lengthy order that kept me waiting for an even longer time and I called out whether my order was ready. I was ignored. The customer apologised to me as she was aware how long I was having to wait. When she was finished, I received no acknowledgement or apology for keeping me waiting. Very disappointed.
