After receiving quotes from several local architects, it was clear that AM2 Architects were by far the best fit for our project. Angel has experience with a range of projects, including barn conversions. This was important to us as our project was for a large extension on our existing 1 bedroom barn conversion in rural Lincolnshire.

Angel was transparent about AM2’s costing structure from the outset. As first time buyers with no experience of renovation work, this transparency was hugely appreciated.

The project design process was collaborative and person-centred, which enabled us to be included every step of the way. Any revisions we made AM2 were happy to accommodate.

Angel and his team were easy to work with throughout and demonstrated excellent knowledge of planning procedures and regulations. This was invaluable, as AM2 were able to liaise with the councils planning department on our behalf.

With our first design receiving approval last month, we are awaiting approval on the second application for full planning permission. The obvious complexity of submitting two applications has been nullified by Angel, who has been fantastic at explaining the process to us lay people.

We employed AM2 Architects to design a complete remodel of our 70s four bedroom house, inside and out. We felt an instant connection with Jonathan Metcalfe, who truly listened to us in order to understand our brief, which was to create a classy, stunning contemporary house, that, however briefly, would be the most exciting house in town. With trepidation, we opened the first draft, and were immediately blown away! Within the constraints of budget, he had included every item on our wish list and more. After a tricky few months finding a builder, we are now almost at the end of our build, and before our eyes the drawings are coming to life. It is sleek, modern, slightly 'out there' for our small town, and has totally exceeded all our expectations. Thanks to Jonathan and our small team of builders (who, all along have been impressed with the detailed drawings), we can even admit to enjoying the process, and would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending AM2.
