We hired Graham and his team earlier this year to create an open plan kitchen / diner using the existing space. From the very first meeting, we were hugely impressed and immediately filled with confidence. Having never done a project like this before, Graham offered advice and guidance throughout the process, and was incredibly patient with us from start to finish.

The team was friendly, polite and unobtrusive, making the whole project amazingly smooth and hassle free. They took the time to discuss decisions with us, keeping us informed and updated every step of the way. Graham himself also visited almost every day to oversee, chat things through and ensure we were happy.

With a baby due this Summer, we were concerned about timings and disruption, but the team met their expected timeframes perfectly (6-7 weeks) despite there being bank holidays and some uncontrollable delays during that time. They tidied every evening before leaving and went above and beyond to be considerate and helpful.

We are so, so pleased with the final result and feel it's transformed the space in our house for the better. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend JA Maxwell & Son, and will certainly be using them again for any future projects.

From the first meeting with Graham to the finished product ... The builders were amazing at every point. Gary and Dan spent a week in our house completing 2 separate jobs. Knocking through our living room into the dining room and moving a wall in the kitchen They were respectful, trustworthy and gave any advice we asked for to ensure we had the best outcome. Their work was impeccable and we are so happy with the finished product, at any point we had a question there was always someone to ask including ... who was always available over text to ease worries and answer questions. Although a relatively small job, they were quick to organise for a site visit and we really appreciated their advice on how we could get the job done properly without over-spending. We went ahead with their quote which was more cost effective than others we had received.

We removed a wall in our 1930s house to open up our kitchen to the dining room at the beginning of the year. We’re delighted with the results. Graham and his team completed a range of jobs including installing an RSJ, fitting a new kitchen, plastering, decorating… Graham communicated very well making the process straightforward. I asked J A Maxwell & Son for a quote for uPVC soffits, fascias and guttering. I had already received a quote from another builder a few months before but unfortunately it was out of my price range. They came back quickly with a quote that was really competitive. They did an amazing job keeping me informed without me having to chase. The builders themselves were fantastic – polite, hardworking and got it done on time to an excellent standard. They honestly took all the stress out of the job for me and I can't thank them enough. Graham & his team built an extension to our bungalow in 2000. We were (& still are) very pleased with the quality of work involved.
Since then, we have been very impressed with the way he has come to our aid with any job (large or small) we have asked him to undertake.
From constructing most attractive raised beds & re-building a collapsed pergola (without harming the climbing plants) in the garden, to plumbing jobs & solving any number of electrical problems in & around the house.

The lads done a through lounge and flooring for plus Plastering the walls the quality of work very perfection And professional from start to Finish have these boys back again would give them five star thanks very Clean and tidy too.
