Without getting into too many details-

I wanted to get planning permission for my semi detached in Sutton. Work involved a new roof and also wanted to add summer house etc.

When I spoke to them initially I was told they would be turning it around before the Dec 2023 price increase for planning applications, but once I agreed the work package the date slipped and I ended up paying for the increased prices.

For the period of interaction done for the first application (which was refused) the comms were OK- if you need someone to proactive and on top of things then may be you should not consider Archimedes.

The first planning application was refused for bad design. After this was when the the comms started becoming difficult, all the interaction has to be on email as they would not answer your calls.
Anyway, worked hard to get another design done which got refused again for bad design.

These are the facts, so choose your architect accordingly 🙂 all the best.

By the way, as of writing of this review Archimedes is yet to inform me that my 2nd/review has been rejected. I came to know as other architects started sending me mail advertising their services- yes it's THAT bad 😀

Edit 30/08/2024: Based on the reply from archimedes- Calling me abusive is really low even for you guys.

Effectively, what you say is that whatever happened is either because I do not know how to be a professional customer or the planning process is bad and you guys are poor victims in a world where customers are abusive and planning process is bad.

Anyway, my review stands- and the reply to my review from Archimedes proves my point to the future customers- be ware guys.

I was very pleased with the service received from Syed and Gan at Archimedes. They managed to guide me through a very difficult planning process with a successful result at the end, showed patience , knowledge and excellent customer service.

I was very disappointed, embarrassed by their services. Ended up having to source & pay again to another professional person to do amendments to drawings & calculations.
I was offered a discount for a good review but I refused because thats how I ended up with mediocre services!!!
Every turn there was a delay, Chassing them continuously. Excuse was that my project was too big, turning a bungalow to a 4 bedroom house!!
My briefing was completely ignored, I wanted, light, big windows, storage, they managed to do none of the above, the few windows are wrongly positioned, NO storage solutions.
A begged for ideas, they had none.
No visit to site.
They might be savvy on social media and advertising, but they lack experience, common sense and basic customer services. COMPUTERS SAYS NO attitude.
