The whole team at Garden Annexe are just phenomenal - from day one we were cared for, supported and they understand how stressful the whole process is when you are caring for a relative who is unwell and making significant life changing decisions. The quality of their service is unparallelled - from quick responses to minor queries, to guiding you through the whole process, the whole team are brilliant. The build process was efficient and quality and after care is so responsive. We are absolutely delighted with our annexe, and I would highly recommend the GA team - you wont find better.

There are 2 parts to this review. If you want to read it all, I suggest you get a tea or coffee, sit in a comfy chair and maybe have a biscuit or two handy.

Initial thoughts-
Don’t hesitate, phone Garden Annexes. Have a chat with Lauryn and book a visit from Charlie. He will take you through the process and answer all your questions. With guidance from Charlie, you can pick the annex suitable for your needs.
Throughout the initial period, Lauryn does an excellent job of being your first point of contact. Aiden does an equally great job once the build starts, taking over as project manager.
After all the legal side of things are taken care of, the magic then happens. Groundwork team comes out, work like crazy leaving the area ready. Build team arrive, also work like crazy. Build done, ready for electricians, plumber, decorator and final checks by Charlie before he hands you the keys and job done.
We are absolutely delighted with the end product. Throughout the whole process, attention to detail and standard of work couldn’t be faulted.

Extra information -
The basic details are as above but the magic is just how hard the guys on site work.
Groundwork completed by Richard and Dan. They rarely stop but are happy to answer questions, keeping you informed step by step. Digging out and laying the foundation, digging the services trench, installing pipes cables, filling the trench and making good. Not only that but we needed to replace 2 rotten fence panels. Very kindly, they took out the old, put in the new. Work area was clean and tidy at the end of each day. Be generous with the tea and biscuits. It really helps to keep them going.

Build team - Alex, Chris & Chris had the basic framework up 1st day. Exterior and roofing completed in just over a week. Flooring, interior wall, cabling, lighting, cabinets all installed quickly and efficiently. Everything left clean and tidy at the end of the day. Again, they work really hard but will explain things, answer questions and keep you informed. More tea, biscuits and homemade cake keeps these guys happy.

Electricians and plumber, sorry gents, I didn’t get your names but as above, they just get on with their jobs but are equally happy to answer questions. Keep going with the tea and biscuits.

Internal and external painting completed by Lee. Checking for and clearing any faults by Danny and David. As before, they are all happy to help, thanks to Danny for putting up a tv wall bracket and to Lee for moving a heater panel , then filling the screw holes and a little more painting to cover them. Not quite so much tea making needed with these guys but still a yes to the biscuits.

Final thoughts. If you get the opportunity, it’s worth visiting their office in Bury St Edmonds. There are a couple of units in the yard which gives a good idea of size, layout, etc.
Delighted with our annex and have no hesitation in giving our recommendation.

Nothing but praise for the whole team. From the groundwork’s guys to the construction team, plumbers and decorators ALL were considerate and respectful and above all else, professional.
Special mentions must be made for Jay and Aiden. They have been informative and supportive throughout the whole process. From the professional designs to the communication, the entire process of constructing this annexe for my mum, has been made all the easier with their support.
