We recently had David come and save the day with quoting for a paint job our original painter let us down on.
Start date: 25th Nov for three weeks with 3 guys.
David started 2 weeks early, I was thrilled! 5 weeks later, a lot of days not worked, only 1/2 men working at a time and still only just half a job complete! A lot of snagging to do which I appreciate is normal but our box room was painted 5 times, and to do this day, isn’t done to properly!
We were due to go away for a week and I stupidly signed off the work, as long as the snagging was done as I was told, if we didn’t pay, he wouldn’t carry on the work while we were away, so I stupidly paid!
While away, David decided he wouldn’t be working 5 days and actually wasn’t starting the downstairs before Christmas anyway (he’d asked us to prep the kitchen for painting before we left) so I called him, while away, frustrated and David said “I’ll get a guy in who we share jobs with and he can make a start” great! I contact the painter to check David had confirmed everything and he confirmed he had. Arrive home a week later to a complete joke of a paint job! No prep work, no wallpaper stripped just painted over. Hand marks down the walls. Holes not filled in, bubbling in the wallpaper which wasn’t stripped and the list goes on!
I contact David furiously and he advises me it’s not his problem, I signed this guy off to come in the house and he was confused why I was contacting him! We got into a back and forth. He was unprofessional and rude and claimed, I was just fussy (I asked him to paint my wardrobes properly so when I opened the doors I couldn’t see mdf) and told him I wasn’t paying for the work and not to contact me and I didn’t want him back in my home.
I contacted the painter David got in, he was understanding and advised David told him to “just paint the walls don’t worry about anything”! He was shocked and embarrassed and told me something didn’t seem right when he met David at our home!
David proceeded to send me an email which manipulated the whole situation, hasn’t taken any accountability!
I would never trust this man in anyone’s home on any job! He’s all talk.
To add, I’m 7months pregnant with a 9month old. We were extremely accommodating, gave him full trust and he really lead us down the garden path!
The work I did pay him for is unfinished and already chipping in multiple areas - lesson learnt. (To add when I said I would review him badly, he told me he had evidence of me signing off the work like it would prove his work wasn’t bad)
Be warned, he isn’t someone you want to work in your home!
One positive, the guy who worked for David was lovely and couldn’t try to help more.

We had a problem with our guttering, David turned up on time and efficiently sorted it and for a very reasonable amount. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and use again. A great firm to deal with.

David and Tom repointed and cleaned two walls at the front of our property. They came on time, worked hard and even came on a saturday. They were friendly, professional and courteous at all times.

One of the walls is very old and the work was not easy, however, the finished job looks great and both walls are much more secure.

We will be asking Dave back to clean and seal our block paving latter in the year.

David was tasked with jet washing old concrete slabs that surround our home. They were power jet washed and the results were incredible ! No shelling out for a new surround. They came up quite like new even though years old Reliable and courteous too !
