I engaged Peter Bloxham of Blox Architects to design my single storey open plan kitchen extension after seeing Peter’s impressive portfolio on his website.
I am so happy with the finished design which is now in the process of being built. The whole process from discussion and initial design to the measurements and completed drawing stage has been flawless. We had to change the design and Peter was able to change the drawings and incorporate the changes in a short space of time. Peter has also dealt with the complex planning process from dealing with local authorities at the planning permission stage through to building control stage including also dealing with the local water authority to ensure our extension met the water and sewage requirements. Peter was also able to give us a steer relating to the party wall process and has key contacts in the industry should we have needed them. Peter was also able to recommend a structural engineer who was equally good at understanding the requirements and completing the request thoroughly and quickly.
Peter is extremely helpful and explains the technical detail thoroughly for a layman to understand. He did not hesitate to discuss the design directly with our builder and the structural engineer as required.
I would recommend Peter to anyone thinking of starting a project.

Peter helped obtain planning permission in a complex residential planning application on budget and ahead of time. Easy to deal with. Understands how to deal with local authority planning authorities. Understood issues they would have and dealt early on with their concerns ultimately speeding up the planning process.
