Alban City Construction did a complete renovation of our home, including garage conversion, rendering, new bathroom, new drive and patio, gutters and fascias, plumbing, tiling and plastering and electrical work.

Kevin and his project manager Steve are approachable, practical tradesmen. They listened to our vision, and provided a timely quote, making recommendations where necessary. Unlike some builders we spoke to they really listened to our needs and made a plan based on how we wanted to live in the home.

Kevin and Steve were both responsive to queries as the project progressed. Billing was timely and honest. Snags were dealt with quickly as each phase completed, there was not a long snagging list at the end.

The tradesman Kevin uses are master builders. Particularly the plumbers, carpenters, electricians, tilers and patio/drive specialists.

I would recommend Alban City Construction to anyone needing a quality job done.

We started our project with Alban City Construction during a challenging time. When I was made redundant just weeks before our planned build, Kevin and his team were incredibly understanding. Instead of cancelling everything, they worked with us to split the project into two manageable phases, taking into account our upcoming arrival of baby number 3.

Kev and his team were fantastic. They were knowledgeable, friendly, patient and kind throughout the entire process. Steve was our day-to-day contact and was always happy to come round and talk us through the project whenever we had questions.

We were incredibly impressed with every aspect of our project. The windows and bifold doors were fantastic, the plastering was excellent, and the heating engineers were amazing. When we discovered drainage issues, they were more than willing to investigate and help us find solutions.

The builders were incredibly respectful- yes, the house was a building site and dusty, but they kept everything to a good standard. They are experts in what they do, and most impressively, they stuck to their timeline perfectly. We lived in the house while the started building the new exterior walls, then we moved out for 7 weeks while they knocked through the existing walls and we moved back in exactly on the weekend we had planned.

We originally found them through a local Facebook group where they had numerous positive reviews, and we're so glad we chose them. Their quote was fair for the amount of work involved, and we would 100% recommend Kev and his team to anyone looking for a reliable, professional, and friendly construction company here in St Albans.

From start to finish, they went above and beyond to make our home renovation a smooth and enjoyable experience. The attention to detail, commitment to our project, and the way they worked around our family's needs made all the difference.

Kevin and his team did a great job for us on our build in Marshalswick. Pretty much the construction of a new 6 bedroom house which was completed on schedule (7 months). The team of skilled trades were all a pleasure to work with and have come back post the build to address any niggles. We have recently finished our second project with Alban City Construction and I'm pleased to say we were just as impressed with them the second time around. A few years ago we used Alban City Construction for a loft conversion and this year they have helped us to remodel our kitchen and dining space.

Kevin and his team delivered both of these projects on time, within budget and to a very high standard. We had a couple of unforeseeable challenges along the way which had the potential to cause major delays to the project, but Kevin was able to bring in reinforcements at short notice in order to overcome the challenges and ensure that the timings stayed on track.

We are very happy with the final result and we will be using Alban City Construction again for any future projects.

Kev, Yesim and their team have been exceptional! We completed our extension this year - a side extension over our garage, double dormer loft extension/conversion and porch. There are two things that have stood out; firstly, the speed at which the build moved at – it was so quick and commented on by everyone! Having seen many extensions go up around us and drag on, it was a breath of fresh air to be complete so quickly and within the timescales that we were promised. Other than decorating and some finishing touches the build was done in just under 12 weeks which is incredible. The second thing we really noticed was how nice the team were to work with and how much they cared about creating something great for us, its so important to have a team that you are comfortable with especially when you aren’t moving out and you will see them bright and early nearly every day!

Nothing was too much trouble, we made some tweaks as we went to improve on the finished result which we are very grateful for. Kev was always on hand to answer questions and very approachable, always planning ahead and keeping the build moving. Big thanks to Shaun, Sandy, Shaun and Steve, they were with us for the whole build and have done such a good job, but they aren't the only ones, there were many others that came and went with their expertise to make our final project what it is. We are so happy with the end result, excellent quality!
