Jonathan designed us a large rear extension for our home. He was very helpful and made useful suggestions for the design. He was very thorough and made sure that we were completely happy with the final design before submitting the planning application. Everything was done promptly and Jonathan was always available if we had any questions. The planning approval and building regs approval were achieved without any problems and we are very happy with our finished extension.
Jonathan was a pleasure to deal with and I would definately recommend him to anyone.

Jonathan provided an excellent service and had so many ideas to put forward. He took on board all our own ideas and requirements and provided several plans to show how our extension could have been built. Once we had decided which option to take, Jonathan made the whole process so easy and was on hand for any additional questions or adjustments to the plans. Jonathan was so friendly and helpful and always provided a very quick response to any queries raised in the planning permission and building regs submission. I would recommend using JCAD without question and we are very happy with the end result!

Having deliberated over various different options for extensions or alterations to our property for a number of years we finally decided to do something about it. We contacted JCAD for some advice and to make sure that there was something that we could do to the property that would most importantly work for us but also look right and blend in both with the existing building and with the neighbourhood (some local extensions were eyesores and we didn’t want to fall into that trap).
Jonathan came out and suggested some very interesting ideas which we hadn’t even conceived of and we were impressed by his enthusiasm and seemingly deep planning and building knowledge.
We then received a number of interesting draft proposals and after a face to face meeting to discuss the various options we had a bespoke design that incorporated a large two storey extension to the side of our house as well as an off shot to the rear which gave us a fantastic open plan living area incorporating a new kitchen, a conservatory and stunning views out to the garden.
Planning approval was negotiated by Jonathan with very little fuss indeed and the builders that Jonathan recommended were highly complimentary of the final drawings that were produced for them to work from.
The build itself went really well and Jonathan, although not appointed to monitor works, did call round from time to time to make sure things were running smoothly and that we were happy with progress. The builders also informed us that Jonathan was very helpful and always happy to respond to their queries and this contributed greatly to the project completing more or less on time (the only issue being the weather!) and within the initial estimate that the builders had given us. They even sourced the correct size and colour of bricks to match a 1930's house.
From start to finish we cannot recommend JCAD enough, from taking our initial ideas and making them into a clear and coherent final design that blends in with the main house, to the professional and friendly service. If we ever move (unlikely as we love our house now that it is finished) we will definitely be contacting Jonathan again to help us.

Jonathan designed a 3-storey extension for me. I had been thinking of extending the property for some time but had struggled to understand how to extend into the loft without compromise to the existing structure. He understood all of the issues and came up with practical solutions which convinced me to proceed. Jonathan took the project from initial concept through all of the approval stages with the local council and onto completion. Our builder was also very complimentary about the quality and detail of the technical plans that Jon produced. I do not hesitate to recommend him to anyone thinking of taking on a similar project.

After many months of thinking about extending my property, I approached Jonathan at JCAD to design me some plans for a single storey extension to the rear of my property. Jonathan was very accommodating, especially considering i had limited ideas to exactly what i was after. Jonathan provided several different options to incorporate the current design of the house to flow through to the proposed extension.
Jonathan was always on hand to provide answers to any questions i had together with solutions or possible alternatives. Jonathan was a pleasure to deal with and someone i would highly recommend.

Jonathan designed 2 major projects for us; a two storey rear extension with associated alterations to the existing house and a major refurbishment project on former outbuildings to create double garage, stores and accommodation over. More recently he has advised and designed a smaller project which involved the creation of roof lights in an existing single storey extension.
We have always been delighted with his work. We now have a home to be proud of thanks to his enthusiasm, dedication and quality of service.
We have known Jonathan for many years now and always knew he had the attributes to go far. He has always given 100% and his drive and dedication has made him the success he is today.

Jonathan sorted out all our plans and permissions for a kitchen extension my wife and I had planned. Having never used the services of an architect before we were a little apprehensive but after doing some research we finally decided to contact JCAD. As it turned out, a very wise move on our part. From start to finish Jonathan made things so easy. He was always available to discuss any details, a very professional and personable individual. The whole process has been seamless from start to finish thanks to his expertise. The building work is due to commence shortly which we are awaiting with some excitement.
