We could not speak more highly of the service delivered by iHUS. From start to finish we knew we were in safe hands. The design and build of my mums annex was smooth and efficient, we have created the perfect home for her. The speed and quality of the build was impressive, we get comments all the time about how good it looks. The team are with you all the way through the process and communication is excellent. If your thinking about it, then do it. It’s the best decision we made in relation to improving our home and family life.

We are on the 5th week of a Bawtry build for my 90 year old mother and completion is but a few weeks away.
The experience to date has been fantastic. Great and regular communications, both from Head Office and the Project and Site Managers.
The crew have been wonderful,
hard-working and courteous and seeing the build take shape after a couple of weeks has been very pleasing and things happen when scheduled and you're never out of the loop.
Recommended and I'll post another review when fully completed.

The annexe build went reasonably well and the final product is a 7/10. The building work around the annexe was poor though, and the project manager was unbelievable. Unfixed manhole covers, unfinished decking, shocking paving, plant and toilet left on site two weeks after completion amongst other things. We rectified the problems ourselves in the end, as the project manager was so unhelpful and pretty useless. I should’ve known when he turned up with a mound of papers and trainers on during the ground works. He couldn’t even put the sign up level. For the money you pay, I’d shop around or certainly hold back some money until you’re fully satisfied. Most of all, ask not to have Matt as your project manager.

We have tried unsuccessfully to get a number of issues dealt with post build and I would warn anyone who deals with iHus to guard against the glossy sales pitch!!

Construction of your annexe will be rushed as I can only assume that the builders that come in are paid per build. They do not listen to any concerns that you may have about build quality and you get dismissed, especially if you are a woman dealing with them The 'site manager' will come once or twice but again our concerns were not addressed so we had not alternative so late in the build but to go ahead.

We have had continual problems with water ingress under a door, which they have to be badgered to look at, but we have been left for several months with water flooding into the living room and having to regularly mop and leave towels down.

In addition the water is obviously getting into the electrics as random lights are off but everything works when we have several dry days. There is damp in the floors and behind the fridge freezer which is now starting to lift the laminate flooring.

You feel pressured into paying the money even though the annexe is not really right and you will struggle to get redress. So all in all steer clear!

I got to iHus through a friend who had built one for her mum. I contacted them and must say this has been THE most professional, friendly experience I have had with a building company. The system is organised, it ticks without delay and moves fast. Andrew explained everything and was helpful and supportive. The planning permission went through with no issues and 2 months after that first call we were building! Jan from the office called twice a week to ensure everything was okay, Matt the manager was available, knowledgable and more of a perfectionist than me! Jo from accounting was accommodating and friendly. Within 7 weeks we have the most beautiful Annexe for my mum and we could not be happier. Absolutely amazing!!! We chose ihus because Andrew was down to earth, genuine and professional. He was good to his word. We went to view another ihus locally and felt that what we saw met our needs. The owners couldn’t speak more highly of ihus. Planning took longer than we had hoped because of the Local Authority, but we felt that we faced that as a team alongside ihus and that Oliver did all in his power to fight that battle for us. Without ihus I think we would have had to go to appeal and the process would have been much longer.
Within a week of getting permission the build team were on site. They were amazing. They took pride in the build and were on site almost everyday working like Trojans. It was incredible to watch. They were responsive to the alterations we asked for, which were minor because everything had been preplanned so well (thanks to Tom and the design team). I can’t praise the builders highly enough. Their standard has been very high. We’ve had compliments from any trades people coming to the property (to measure for blinds or fit services). We’d like to thank Dinhu and Viairia who were the mainstay supermen and Danny and the rest of the build team. Also Matt and Coco made sure everything was highly organised, meeting high standards and signed off.
Jan made a weekly phonecall to check in and make sure we were happy with the build. I knew I could call her at any time to resolve any problems, but I really didn’t need to. Anytime I did need to call Lydia and the team were always very helpful.
We are absolutely delighted with the annexe. The quality is exceptional and the whole process (planning authority aside) has been truly stress free.
I would, and have recommended ihus to friends and family.

We used iHUS due to the start to finish product, planning permission, design and a great build team. Even snagging completed after a year. All aspects were above expectations, great product, excellent build quality. A well designed and insulated granny annex.

I moved into my new IHus annexe in August 2022 in my daughter’s garden and I absolutely love it. The IHus team at every stage were amazing. Everyone from the sales team, the office team through to the site team couldn’t have been more friendly & helpful. They kept me informed throughout and invited my input at all stages. The annexe exceeded all my expectations & the finish is exceptional.
