I engaged Opinder Liddar of LAPD Architects to design my forever home which has three bedrooms, but the rooms are reasonably spacious. I managed the build myself, engaging the separate trades.

There were difficulties with the planning department who did not permit my preference of a bungalow, so Opinder devised a compromise solution which works very well. I moved in a week ago and I’m very happy with the final result. It has plenty of light, impressive vaulted ceilings in places, and generous patios and amenity space. Every person walking past who has spoken to me thinks it looks terrific and compliments the general appearance of the street.

Getting all the stages of the design done did take some time which is why I gave the architect four stars, but they did make it clear at each stage how long it would take and they kept their promises.
