Bought a second had car a couple of weeks ago and took it to my local mechanic for a check-over to make sure there were no issues. He spotted what he believed to be a leak coming from the automatic gearbox and recommended Stephens Engineering. I put a lot of trust in reviews / recommendations and so far, everything I've heard and read backs up the fact of what a great company this is. I visited this morning and Jason undertook an inspection of my cars' gearbox as well as taking it for a drive. He recommended a gearbox service and set expectations perfectly. Am booked in for this service and have complete faith that this will be a seamless experience. Will update more post-service, but so far, highly recommended!

Stephens Engineering came on my radar as my lovely Vauxhall could not engage reverse gear, my car is an automatic transmission car, so I met Mr Jason to explain my woes, his words was “ we can do that for you, “
A replacement car was offered and accepted and a few weeks later my lovely Vauxhall was back on the road with a new lease of automatic transmission gears, the price was a very reasonable price considering the works required, my car now drives even better when I had bought it new, I am so happy with the service received.
I understand people bring their cars from near and far , even from aboard, I can see why, Jason and team take pride in their jobs and give a good honest job which is rare today, so the default place to go anything mechanical is STEPHENS ENGINEERING

A 5star service and experience at Stephens Engineering. Our Skoda kodiaq had the dreaded DSG faults - wouldn’t engage odd gears and then completely failed to engage any gears. After a speedy repair to the mechatronic unit the car is now back on the road.

Just had a gearbox service on my 8 speed ZF Audi box. Really improved the gear changes and box works perfectly now. Well worth getting the job done and the staff are all friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

After purchasing an automatic Porsche Cayenne with no gearbox service history recently (96k miles) it seemed the sensible thing to do was to book it in for one! I found Stephens Engineering after looking for automatic gearbox specialists locally and after seeing the reviews compared to other places this seemed the only sensible option. Fairly priced and easy to book in within a couple of weeks, Tina was very helpful. The service was done today, fast and in half a day as quoted. Brilliant garage! Couldn't be happier with the work that's been carried out on my car, I had a problem with the clutch on my car and after handing it to Stephens Engineering my car responds/sounds and drives so much healthier.
