Devon engineering have just replaced my balcony railings to a very high standard and exacting replica, as required, of previous railings which were in a bad state. We contacted Devon Engineering for a quote for balustrades to our stairway and balcony. They were quick to set up an appointment, arrived promptly and were very clear when talking through our options and helped with decisions along the way. We received a quote soon after, which was comprehensive, with a clear breakdown of the work to be done. We were keen to use them, but we received a quote from another company which was cheaper. I contacted Devon Engineering to see if they could reduce their costs as they had not quoted on quite the same specification, as we had changed our minds. They were very honest and said that the costs would just increase. I decided (against my gut feeling) to use the cheaper company. I emailed Devon Engineering to tell them and they thanked me for letting them know and were very courteous (again).
We were very unhappy with the quality of work by the other firm and contacted Devon Engineering, who agreed to come out to see what had been done. They were very professional at all times and pointed out how they would put right the things we were not pleased with and then provided us with a quote to put things right. However, they were clear that the original firm would probably want to make contact to put it right. Whilst I did not have the original work done by this company, I am regretting not using them purely on costs. They have been so professional and courteous and Andy has always answered emails extremely promptly. It is clear that they would not have carried out the work to the standard we received from the other firm. If it is quality fitting with attention to detail and great customer service you want, then look no further and do not make the same mistake I made.

Another thumbs up for DE. I did the research and got in touch with with 4 local companies to install some bespoke handrails for (nothing fancy, just custom made for some old steps)...and DE were the only ones who got back in touch. I was a bit cautious about this, but I didn't need to be. Comms was great, they turned up for specs/quote as promised...and then we agreed an install date (leadtime is a couple of months). More good comms, they stuck to the dates, and turned up to do a professional job exactly as agreed. Marvellous.

We were introduced to the guys at Devon Engineering by a mutual friend, who was installing our lovely new Decking. It was the best thing that he could have done. From beginning to end it has been an absolute pleasure. Work was completed in a timely manner. Every person I came into contact with was pleasant, polite and professional.
