We reached out to Johnathan and the team at McGuinness Group while seeking a reliable company to handle the electrical wiring for our newly built extension, which required integration with our existing electrical board.

The team did an outstanding job. They were dependable, maintained a clean work environment, and completed the project well ahead of schedule.

Additionally, Johnathan took the initiative to correct an issue with the subfloor level that had resulted from poor installation by the original builders. This was an issue I was not happy with that the previous contractors had failed to address, but Johnathan resolved it for us and at his own expense and without being asked.

Having now experienced the comprehensive services offered by McGuinness Group, I wish I had engaged them for my entire extension project from the outset.

I am surprised to see a few negative reviews, as I believe it is impossible to please everyone.

However, based on my experience with McGuinness Group, I can confidently say that the service I received was exceptional.

I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone in search of a reliable builder capable of managing a wide range of trades.

McGuinness group completed various electrical and tiling works on my property in Bristol ready for sale. They have been to my now current property where they are working through a list of electrical maintenance and installation/upgrade of CCTV and alarm system. We will also be using them for a future loft conversion. Always on time, always efficient and works carried out in a timely and cost effective manner that doesn't compromise quality. I used McGuiness Group a few years ago, they got the work done very fast and I can't fault them for that. There was a bit of a mess left with the plastering but as they pointed out, when I asked for a quote I didn't ask for that, so I put that down to my own mistake and dealt with it myself.

However, since I've gone to move house I discovered that Building Regulations needed to be involved with the work they had done on my property. I had said to them from the start I wasn't sure if planning permission or anything was required, and assured I needed nothing.

But I put this down as a simple mistake, I reached out McGuiness Group, asking about this - I know it had been a couple of years but i was hoping they might have a record and know if it was applied for and if building regs were followed.

However, I never got a reply.

I applied for the council to come look at the work, and sure enough Building Regulations had not been followed with the work they had done.

Very dissapointed and frustrated.

I have used McGuinness Group for a couple of jobs this year, refitting of an en-suite and a knock-thru and a refit of a kitchen diner. Work was completed to a high standard and most importantly, we were kept updated though out the whole process.
