Jess was recommended by a friend and as soon as I met him I felt like he was the right person to complete our work. Despite some delays on our side Jess and I were able to keep communicating and luckily for us they were able to start work. Jess manages the project with clear timely information and we felt in the loop at all times and able to ask the questions we needed to. I have to say Jess’s team was the biggest positive, equal to the quality and standard of work. I felt like I had an extended family such a lovely bunch I felt comfortable leaving my home and pets in their hands and always came back to a well tidied house and a clear plan for the next day. The job kept to budget and time and Jess updated us with any variations in price immediately. The end product we have been left with is a beautiful extension that has been worth every penny. Jess and the team were outstanding through the whole process. Very professional and knowledgeable, we felt at ease with our choice of who to get our extension built. The schedule we were given was accurate and the work was completed in the stated timeframe. During the works we were regularly kept in the loop about the current status so that we could ensure my father in law could move in as soon as possible.

Jess and his team carried out an extension and internal renovation to our bungalow in Denby Village. From start to finish, the whole project was managed impeccably by Jess. Communication was excellent, consistently updating us on the progress, and all works carried out to very high standards and with professionalism. Jess Hutchinson and his expert team completed a major home extension and landscaping project for us in Belper during 2024. It was important for us to choose a contractor who had the skills and experience to the combine these projects thereby avoiding any issues managing separate house build and landscape contractors. Jess uses the same electrical and joinery subcontractors for his projects further ensuring the project runs smoothly and to time and budget. Also key to these projects is planning, experience and flexibility. Jess proved himself in these areas which made it easy to overcome the hiccups you always come across on major projects. We were pleasantly surprised by the number of positive comments we received from neighbours about how polite the JH Construction team were, and how they always cleaned up the site at the end of each working day. Jess and his team did a fantastic job with converting my garage, the communication was fantastic. From the very outset it was made very clear to me what the plan was and how it would be executed.

I was so impressed with the regular updates and the quality of the work as it was being done. All the team were very professional, courteous and gave sound advice that was clearly in my best interest in regards to helping me make the most of the converted space. Some minor challenges with the conversion were discovered along the way but the whole team were brilliant at helping us make the right decision on which solution would be best for the level of finish and to make the most of the space. It was so nice to see a team who were so careful with our house, making sure they kept disruption to an absolute minimum.

If I am honest I was a bit nervous about having works done on our house as I’ve heard so many horror stories from friends and family but I have to say you don’t need to worry when Jess and his team get to work, you get an exceptional service with a professional outfit. Our expectations were managed to perfection and exceeded thanks to impeccable orchestration and execution.

Pricing was really reasonable, especially given the fantastic level of service we received, we’re so impressed that in a few years we plan on an extension on our house and Jess will be the first number I will be calling
