I was treated to a night stay here by my boyfriend as an early birthday present, and I must say it was an amazing stay. The staff were super polite and helpful and made you feel very welcome. I loved all the design of the hotel, being someone that does art i was admiring the architecture, paintings and everything around me. ||The room we stayed it was a good size for both of us. We loved the bed, and the shower was so amazing . I ended up sleeping for over 9 hours the night we stayed, probably one of the best night sleeps I had in a long time. The free drinks and snacks were a really nice little addition to the room. Plus, we used to robes after the shower, and they were super comfy.||We were offered a free drink on the social hour, which I am not sure if that is all the time, but was a nice little extra. Plus, we booked a table in the bar for drinks that evening. My only one little criticism is the cocktails was a little too intense for me on the spectrum menu and we only found out after having a few that we could of asked for cocktails off the menu to be made if they had the spirits to do it. However, the service was still really good, and the waitor was really polite and nice to talk to about stuff for the hotel. Even though he had only been their for just over 2 weeks, he had some good knowledge already. ||Breakfast was also really nice and offered a lot of different things, plus due to me not being able to eat a lot of gluten, they helped cater for that too. Also, I loved the smoothies so much 😍. ||We will definitely visit again and hopefully try and stay two nights next time.

Beautiful property but it doesn’t meet the “luxury” description on regards to service. We
booked 2 premium rooms and on of those i think it wasn’t premium. So beware of the room category you book and what you get. Also the room wasn’t made the first day until we requested it at the evening. They also don’t prepare the room for the night like most luxury 5 star hotels. Although you can request amenities for the room, they just provide very basic ones in the room.
Breakfast is good but it lacks variety if you stay more than a night. Coffee is not good.
Great location! And loved the social hour for wine.

Excellent hotel. Very comfortable, very guest-oriented. We chose it because it was offered through a Delta Vacation package and as it turned out it was a great choice. We arrived midday for a week-long stay and our room was ready earlier than expected. It was comfortable and well furnished, but a little bit small. Not awful, but snug. We requested a change and a day later we were transferred to a moderately more spacious and equally well-furnished room. The hotel has a daily social hour (wine and snacks) in the late afternoon/evening and we took advantage of it. The location at Russell Square is good. Close to the British Museum, plenty of other attractions and lots of cafes, restaurants, and diversions within walking distance. Access to public transit is very close. Every staff member we encountered was helpful and courteous. Special shout-out to Christine at reception and Esther who worked hard to find us the right room--and she succeeded. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and it was absolutely awesome! The front desk check in lady called Ester was very professional and kind and she even helped to move our room perfectly! ||After we got the room, the Concierge gentleman called Tobby was also very kind. It was our first time to London and he pinpointed and explained about the hotel's history and the Great Britain. Very great to hear and helpful! ||Furthermore, this hotel has a long history and the design of the hotel is just amazing and gorgeous! ||I would like to recommend this hotel to all of you! ||It was a pleasant stay for sure.||Lucia

I absolutely love this hotel! There is such an exceptional eye for detail in design. The public spaces are gorgeous and clever. Great art everywhere.

The location is perfectly situated to make everything walking or tube or short uber ride.

This was my tenth visit and the staff treats me like family. In particular, Maria at the front desk is remarkably clever, kind, and very effective. Thank you, all, for another great stay! I hope to see you all soon!

We researched a handful of hotels for the London leg of our British Isles trip & settled on the Kimpton-Fitzroy in the Bloomsbury neighborhood. Part of the IHG hotel group, we were just delighted with everything about this hotel. The staff were top-notch, the place is brimming with cool history (make sure you find "Lucky George" as you climb up the main stairs), the location was excellent & the food/drink options hit the spot. The room we had on the 3rd floor was very well maintained, and it looked like the bathroom had a recent update (I would kill to have a shower like that in my own house - glorious!!). Can't think of a single complaint to register about this place or our time here - it was great.

The Kimpton Fitzroy London is a mix of good and not so good. ||Starting with the good. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. I got to know many of them by staying multiple times over 6 months or so. There was a wide choice of food for breakfast and it was tasty and well presented. Dinner was less impressive for the price but convenient.||And now the not so good. The staff on the front door liked to watch and rarely helped while the staff in the bar just ignored us and the management had no interest in helping with problems. The rooms are tired and need attention. On check out they may encourage you to use their quick check out. Be aware there is an optional service charge on your total bill that they will apply unless you ask them not to. When I first started staying here in 2024, IHG members got extra free benefits at breakfast. These have been removed and IHG members now have to pay. Finally, they have loud parties during the week, going on all evening and past midnight. You can hear these in the rooms on the lower floors. ||For me, the good points became less and less. I will not be back.

We were coming to London for the first time and when booking we were not sure about this hotel. Once we arrived, this is truly a five star hotel. It is so beautiful inside, clean, and large. The staff and door men are so friendly. The hotel food is amazing, the bar is beautiful and best of all is the great location... right next to subway, bus, and hop on bus. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
