Excellent craftsmanship across all aspects of our restoration work on our listed house. The team were very easy to work with and were extremely flexible in responding to our requirements. The strong project management and coordination ensured all the activity ran smoothly even with some unplanned changes of scope. We are extremely pleased with the end result and wouldn’t hesitate to use Between Time again.

Between time replaced four dormers at our grade II listed property and did an excellent job. We struggled to find a company who could see the job through including making, fitting and installing the windows and replacing the dormers, as well as the scaffolding and decorating. These guys project managed it all and even replaced roof tiles for us whilst they were up there. Very reasonably priced and great workmanship. Would definitely recommend and will be getting them back in to some additional work for us in the near future!

We didn't get to the point of the works being done. The customer service was really offputting. The administrator was curt and unfriendly on the phone and by email. There was confusion about a survey appointment. The surveyor turned up when I wasn't expecting him (no date/time had been agreed) and I wasn't able to see him. Admin accused me of simply turning him away, said he was busy the next week and that was that. No admission that there might have been a simple misunderstanding or any friendly gesture towards taking things forward. I took my business elsewhere. I run a business myself and warm, friendly and approachable customer service is everything. Customers must always be valued and treated with warmth and understanding (even if they're sometimes in the wrong!). Great customer service is an investment for any company. It would certainly pay Between Time to get someone a lot more friendly and amenable as their customers first point of contact.

Poor quality work and appalling customer service especially when challenged on the quality. They sell themselves a conservation builder but nothing could be further from the truth. They have no pride or integrity in the work they undertake on people's prized homes. They are very good at invoicing though! I have had to have thousands of pounds of work redone by real craftsmen to address the issues left behind. I would never use them again or recomend them to anyone.

This is the third time we have used Between Time for work on our 19th Century house. This work involved replacing our landing ceiling following a partial collapse of the lathe and plaster ceiling. Once again, their work was first class and highly professional. The team were extremely friendly, polite and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards.

Substandard workmanship and diabolical customer service. They advertise themselves to be “conservation builders”, my home is grade 2 listed -the repairs they did were not in keeping with the building. When it was highlighted how different the sections they repaired looked when compared to the original fabric of the building (which started to fall off after a couple of weeks), they refused to rectify it and tried to charge for works that were not even done. They rarely answer the phone or reply to emails. Avoid them at all cost!

Can’t comment on the work because we never actually got that far. Impossible to speak to anybody at the company without waiting weeks on end for a response. Three unanswered emails over the space of a month and then weeks between correspondence, despite being contacted several times. Had to change contractor before we even had planning granted.
