Billy has just completed a ground floor extension for us, to replace an old conservatory.
I got several quotes for the work, two builders quoted without even seeing the job, one visited but never came back with a price and two quoted very similar prices, one of which was Billy.
I chose Billy because, from our first meeting, he was a consummate professional and it was clear that he is a perfectionist who takes great pride in the work he does, a quality not always found in a builder.
From day one of the project until completion it went like clockwork, Billy kept us fully informed of progress and let us know which tradesmen would be at the house from day to day. Billy has a great team around him, who worked tirelessly, always punctual, professional and leaving a tidy site at the end of the day. The end result is perfect and we love our new room ?
If you are thinking of having any building work done I could not recommend Billy highly enough. Thank you Billy and your team!

BB Construction - Single storey rear extension, internal knock throughs, utility room & garden.
Our project with B.B Construction began at the very end of March 2023.
In the weeks leading up to the project, we got a knock on the door from a contact of Billy’s who came to match bricks, a really reassuring sign. The planning, the attention to detail etc. cannot be underestimated.
A 12 to 16 week plan was put in place. Within the 1st week we could not believe our eyes at the progress.
Having a then 2 year old, it was quite daunting to know that we’d be living upstairs for 3 months. The tales of dust and muck filled us with concern, but we cannot say a bad word about the experience on that front.
The builders, the joiners etc. were meticulous and tidy, sweeping & hoovering to mitigate the impact on our family as best as possible.
The team BB Construction work with had a real job on their hands, as we have a real awkward rear garden. They were able to clear and prepare the area in no time at all, overseeing the piling & concreting. The grounds team are fantastic, approachable and friendly.

Their work is superb. I’ve recommended them to a work colleague, who is now made up with the work they did for them.
In April the brick laying began. This is specifically Billy and his direct team.
The workmanship was brilliant. The immaculate internal breeze blockwork etc. Now bearing in mind they are plasterboarded, skimmed etc. and never on show, it was another great sign.
Once the external walls were up the team needed to open up the rear wall. This was a bit of a concern. Would it be water tight, would it be safe etc.
The joiners came and provided a safe secure new internal structure to keep the elements out. They found a way for us to keep our kitchen sink too for as long as possible.
They all just ‘get it’. They know when things are going to get tough & offer solutions.
Communication and project management are two of the best traits we find with BB Construction. Always pitching in with suggestions, it was great being able to lean on their expertise and the project management. The team of people the company has takes away a lot of the stress.
If boosting the local economy is important to you, the trades and supplies are locally sourced too.

Internal walls were knocked down, steels were installed and it all took shape really quickly. No corners are cut, materials are a very good quality. Velux windows and bi fold doors were installed.
1st fit electrics were completed as were 1st fix plumbing. Plumbers lined up the pipework for the new sink position, the new radiator positions etc.
Next up, the plasterer, another great contact. Professional, friendly with a superb attention to detail and finish. We have four velux windows in the ceiling of the new extension, & the level of detail shown was evident in the way they were installed & finished.
An angled finish, lending towards more natural light and a more aesthetically pleasing finish. The painter came, the finish was great.
We arranged for the flooring to be completed throughout the GF, (a contact of Billy’s). The flooring is just what we were after, it pulled the whole GF together.
The joiners returned to hang new internal doors, created a new double door with frame, skirts, architraves then went on to fit the kitchen, TV units, the utility and pantry.
We cannot speak highly enough of the joiners.
The electricians and plumbers came to 2nd fit the lounge, extension, kitchen, utility, downstairs bathroom, smoke alarms, CCTV etc.
We ran to the 16 weeks, but the project grew & we had certain delays out of the teams hand.
There were a few things a long the way that didn’t work immediately, or needed tweaking, but to be clear Billy will never leave an issue unresolved.
If there are ever any ‘extra’ costs they are always fully discussed. We never felt like the original quote was there to win the contract. It was itemized and accurate.
If you are in the market for any building work we cannot rate BB Construction any higher - 10/10 experience

We bought a rundown house which needed everything doing. Billy and his team were a major part of the transformation as we needed a full width 4m extension.
The project ran so smoothly. Billy has an outstanding team and he runs a tight ship, with excellent communication and support. Everything was done to the highest standard. In particular Jake and Sam are lovely guys and very respectful when on site.
All the neighbours noticed that they were getting on with the work without delay, and the site was always left clean and tidy at the end of the day.
On a personal level, I had just retired and was probably more hands-on than many. Billy was not fazed by my many questions and would always be willing to patiently explain any issues that arose whilst maintaining his professionalism in making sure our dreams continued to be grounded in reality.
We love our extension and our son-in-law was so impressed he has employed Billy for his own extension. What higher recommendation can you give than that.

Where to start…… over pandemic I have been recommended to Billy and his team as I wanted to do a double storey extension. After waited 1 year, I can tell that was so worthy. Billy and the team did a fantastic job in our house, always really good communicating and letting us know the plans, managed to do it all with us and our kids living here and what a fantastic job. Kids love our huge living room and them own bedrooms.

Billy and the guys did a fantastic job on our double storey side and rear extension. All the tradesmen he uses are brilliant and on the rare occasions any unanticipated issues arose, they always seemed to have the solution. The workmanship is of a very high standard, we had been impressed with the work BB construction did on our neighbours' houses and so were more than happy to use them ourselves.
