We ordered new doors for the house, when the dirt arrived it was not the correct door that was ordered, the door was then replaced but the seals were defective and there was damage to the structure. It took several visits to try and get this fixed, the seals were glued in place to fix as it happened again which isn’t as per the manufacturers design and the damage while repaired is still visible. I will not be returning as a customer.

UPDATE: After speaking with a director it appears we could have kept the original door that was in perfect condition and would have been able to get compensation despite being told we can’t do that as it would be counted as a complaint and affect their customer satisfaction rating. Now we have to keep a door that is substandard compared to the original and won’t be able to get compensation as it was as per the contract.

The door issues were corrected but the repair is visible and the seals are glued to keep them in place now.

Kitchen Redesign - Spring 2024
Thistle did an absolutely amazing job on our kitchen and living area redesign. Right from our initial meeting with designer, everything was taken care of. The fitting team of joiners, electricians and plumbers were superb and their standard of work second to none. Yes this was an expensive job but worth every penny. I would absolutely recommend Thistle if you are considering updating your living space.

From the first day we visited Thistle kitchens and enquired about a kitchen to the final visit from Keith, the Project Manager our experience was outstanding . At the start we did not feel pressurised to buy a kitchen. The staff were very helpful and when we did commit to the project we could not fault their workmanship. At no time did we feel it stressful. It was the little things like providing a tabletop cooker and making sure we could use our washing machine throughout that made life easier for us. The standard of work by all the trades and especially our joiner Chris was second to none. I would be lying if I said there was no glitches but these were fixed with no hesitation. We absolutely love our new kitchen and would highly recommend Thistle. The photos before and after say it all.

Hats off to Thistle. After a successful window installation we returned to Thistle for a new bathroom. Rebekah came up with a great design and we went ahead. Unfortunately on the first day of installation major unexpected structural issues were uncovered. Within 48 hours Thistle had come up with a solution and bringing in expertise from the wider Thistle organisation rapidly overcame the not insignificant problems. Jan and his team then smoothly fitted the bathroom and we are absolutely delighted with the end result. Thank you so much.

I had a front door and kitchen window fitted by Thistle Windows & Conservatories after a friend recommended them to me and from start to finish I've found the service to be perfect! I absolutely love the glass detail on the door that I chose, and the quality of both the door and window is excellent. From making initial contact with them to the final fitting the process has been efficient and the communication has been great. We installed triple glazing to the North side of our home in Banchory which was installed by Thistle Windows & Conservatory Ltd last December. We are extremely happy with the purchase, Thistle Windows installed the 7 windows in the time allotted and were very professional in all aspects of the installation. Lewis Morgan was our contact and we shall be calling again for the installation of triple glazing to the South side of our house. Well done Thistle Windows, we have realised a savings in heating expenses and the noise reduction is fantastic, well done.

Doors installed in July. Required attendance twice so far to adjust, (fair enough). However, quite a large amount of water started pouring in the front door yesterday. Also the back door handle is also coming loose. I went to the showroom to request attendance as soon as possible as I am heading away to attend to my mothers funeral arrangements tomorrow and unable to be in after lunch time tomorrow and don’t want water coming in when we are away. As of 5pm today- no contact, no reaching out to try and amend this.thankfully resolved the next day so thank you.
The below is hopefully not a regular occurrence.
Also poor workman at the time. Throwing tools onto the floor. There is a difference between putting a tool down and throwing it down. Chipped a bit of laminate but I was not going to bother mentioning it but since the installing and product are not the best I will put it here.
