Excellent garage conversion!

Having had a bathroom refit done by another company a couple of years ago which didn’t go to plan, working with Brooks and Co was a refreshing change for the better. Excellent communication from the initial contact stage, through quoting and the project management itself. The time taken at quoting to measure and discuss options meant that the project ran smoothly even when the doors were delivered incorrectly. All contractors were punctual, efficient and courteous, and the level of workmanship is top notch. Would not hesitate to recommend and use again. These guys show how it should be done.

Brooks & Co are absolutely brilliant and I would 100% recommend them if you're looking for a firm who are not only very, very good at what they do, but also care about their clients.

We approached them about converting our garage into a soundproof music studio for my band to rehearse in / home office space for my wife and it's just been completed a few weeks ago. We couldn't be happier with the results.

The quality of the work Sam and his team carried out is outstanding, both in terms of the technical spec of the project being met and the craftmanship and finish of the work itself. Sam, Martin, Joel and Matt are all exceptional at what they do and thoroughly nice people too. The same for the electricians and air-con company they worked with to complete those aspects of the project. Having the Brooks & Co team working on our property didn't feel like an imposition at all - they were always incredibly polite, respectful and involved us in every decision that needed our input. And if they had any ideas that differed from our original spec slightly, they were excellent at making suggestions in a way that helped us to understand why it may be better to take a different approach to a particular aspect of the job.

Sam's attention to detail during the quote phase made the final build so much easier to envisage in advance and his research into the soundproofing side of things was exactly what was needed to ensure we ended up with something that did the job it was meant to do.

I can think of very few times in my lifetime where I've been so blown away by every aspect of dealing with a business as I have been during our experience with Brooks & Co. Using a company we had never dealt with before for such a big project was potentially a risk, but from the moment Sam first came round to quote, we felt in really safe hands and like we were dealing with people who really care about what they do.

Right from the beginning of the project, Sam was super helpful, professional, quick to respond to our many questions and helped us in suggesting alternative materials and finishes if anything we’d asked for was beyond budget. He came to visit us on a number of occasions before the project started to go through everything in detail even though we don’t live that close. Given it was the first time we’d undertaken such a big project, all the extra effort was really appreciated. We felt very reassured and in safe hands.

The quality of work was way beyond our expectations. All the team – Joel, Matt, Martin, the plasterers and Joe and Stephen the electricians, did a fantastic job. They would always ask us for our input and would make useful suggestions of the best way to do things if they had an alternative approach that would improve the outcome. We couldn’t believe how clean and tidy they were. All very lovely, friendly guys to have around too!

You always hear stories builders producing unexpected costs or projects overrunning so we had thought that there might be a little of that but it was completed exactly as per the quote and timetable which was a massive added bonus.

Sam and team did such a great job that we’re now rapidly trying to save for the next project with them! Wouldn’t want to use anyone else. Highly recommended. Thanks Sam and the team!

Brooks & Co developments have recently completed a garage conversion at our family home in Tonbridge.
Sam from the get go has been very informative and very helpful not only with the technical side of the building project but also the design stage. His team work to a very high standard with cleanliness at the top of their minds. The cleanest builder we have ever had do work for us.
The project was completed on time and within the price agreed.

I cannot fault Sam and his team. Will definitely be using brooks & co for all our home projects.

Garage conversion
Sam and his team recently did a garage conversion for me. We found them to be very reliable, hard working and the finish is high quality. We are particularly impressed with Sam as he communicates and co-ordinates exceptionally well, always on time and we were always forewarned any small changes in the planned timetable of work. The additional tradesmen (electricians/decorators) he uses are also very good and everything was coordinated very well. Can not really fault the service they provide.

Brooks & Co have designed and fitted a decking terrace for me of exceptional quality and good value. With clear glass surround, allowing full view of the garden, I am more than delighted with it.
I was given valuable information and advice throughout. The professional carpenters kept exactly to the dates in my contract and the site was left immaculate.

I contacted a few carpenters to install shelving and cupboards in my lounge alcoves and decided to go with Sam at The Carpentry Company because of their customer service, politeness and competitive pricing.

When Sam came to take measurements to give a quotation, he was polite, took his shoes off at the door (not all tradespeople do this!) and answered all our questions. It was easy to book the work in and the correspondence/ease of getting in touch with Sam was great.

The Whole Team were respectful of my House and did the work within two days. I was very pleased with the finish and would highly recommend The Carpentry Company.

We had our house completely refurbished by Sam and his team, and are very happy with the result that has transformed it from a very tired 1960s property to something much more modern and comfortable to live in. The work involved wooden flooring throughout the ground floor, all new doors, skirting and architraves, new staircase and landing bannisters with glass panels, loft boarding and multiple cupboard constructions. Sam was adaptable to be able to add in additional items that became apparent that we'd like done as the project developed, and has a keen eye for detail and appearance. He worked closely with his various trade colleagues such as heating engineers while the central heating system was completely changed, electricians and decorators, so the works on the house were completed efficiently and to a very high standard. Would thoroughly recommend.
