One notable review states, "Your company has sent a carpenter to correct a job that was done for Birmingham City Council by Sub Contractors. Roberto was very professional and has done a fantastic job. He has cleaned all the mess and brought proper equipment to do this with. I will be showing this to Birmingham Councillors Friday. Well done Roberto you are a credit to your Company. It's a disgrace our professional local Tradesmen are not used more often."

I didn't want to have to post this review, but in light of recent events, I think it's best. I'd like to preface this by saying that the Office Manager Kelly has been brilliant in terms of communication and service, but everything else is bottom of the barrel.

I purchased my first home 2 years ago, a new build apartment in Dudley, which to the best of my knowledge, was CJP's first new independent new build project. As you can imagine, I was super excited to move in and finally have a place to myself after working hard to save for years. It's safe to say, this excitement was displaced.

Before purchasing, I agreed a price of £3,542.88 for my apartment to be fitted with wooden flooring, which turned out to be cheap vinyl. The developer did offer a 50% discount on this to be fitted, however they've essentially just glued vinyl flooring to the stone floor, and didn't even add a layer of insulation, so my neighbour below can hear every single move I make.

After waiting over 8 months for the building to be signed off for me to move in, I encountered issue after issue with this property. Firstly, my toilet was plumbed into the hot water so it heated up every time you flushed it. After this, we noticed a leak under the sink, which actually turned out to be the fact that the overflow on the sink didn't have a pipe fitted, so all overflow water was pouring underneath the sink area. It took them sending 2 separate tradesmen to notice this issue on 2 separate occasions.

Soon after this, the bulb burst in our oven, but we carried on as we were, as we had more important things to worry about, like the wardrobe doors being hammered in with 2 large screws that didn't fit, rather than the 4 it was meant to be fit with.

Then our front door handle snapped off, and neither me or my partner could get to work. Even though it's a fire door on the building and literally their responsibility for safety reasons in the event of a fire, they let us know that again, we were liable to fix this.

We didn't even get a key to the utility cupboard with our electric meters for A YEAR after we moved in, after being advised that this would be sorted.

Then the oven broke that the apartment came with,1.5 years later, and I was told the wholesaler CJP purchased it from was no longer operating as a business, and it's our responsibility to sort a replacement.

To top it all off, our extractor fan has now broken after 2 years, which seems to be a £24 system they purchased from B&Q, with an £8 pipe trailing through to the kitchen, so no wonder it's broke.

Essentially the point of this review is to steer people away from buying ANYTHING CJP develops, especially if you're a first time buyer looking for a high quality new build that's going to last. They'll use the cheapest materials, and cheapest appliances, and then wash their hands of you.

My advice is buy from a reliable builder, not these cowboys.
