Steve is very professional, prompt and efficient. He was very quick to respond to our initial request for plans for a kitchen extension and was with us within a week to go through our requirements and talk things through. Jackie so glad you had a good experience. I wish I could have had a good experience as well and that I would have a new ensuite unfortunately this is not the case. There is no way of getting away from the fact that I have paid £700 for drawings that are incorrect and that what I asked Steve for was to apply to Severn Trent for drain connection and also to apply for Building regs, neither of which Steve has done.
WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH YOUR REPLY IS.
I INFORMED YOU STRAIGHT AWAY THAT THE DRAWINGS WERE INCORRECT, BOTH THE HOUSE ENSUITE DRAWING AND THE DRAWING FOR SEVERN TRENT, I INFORMED YOU STRAIGHT AWAY WHEN I RECEIVED THE EMAIL FROM SEVERN TRENT REGARDING THE APPLICATION BY THE TIME YOU GOT BACK TO ME THE APPLICATION HAD TIMED OUT. AT THE END OF THE DAY I HAVE PAID YOU £700 AND LIKE YOU SAY THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR MONTHS AND MY HEALTH IN THAT TIME HAS DETERIATED THAT MUCH I REALLY NEEDED THE ENSUITE, I HAVE ENDED UP PAYING YOU £700 AND HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT. I CAN I'LL AFFORD TO LOSE £700. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL.

If I no could give no stars then I would. Steve seemed a very pleasant and professional person. I asked him if he could apply to Severn Trent Water for a new drain connection and also to apply to the local council for Building Regulations, for an en suite, for this service I paid Steve £700 as of today I have neither and it does not look like I am going to get either. I have asked for a refund but that does not seem as it is going to happen.
I did receive via email an application from Severn Trent, but by the time I had spoken to Steve, who said he would look into it, the application had timed out. The drawings that Steve provided were completely wrong, on the house drawing it showed the load bearing wall removed, which was definitely not what we had discussed. The information to Severn Trent was also incorrect, as Steve had the drain going down the side of the wall, even though there was a chimney breast jutting out. I sent numerous photos, told him what was wrong with the drawings, even got my grandson to remeasure and sent the details. As of today I have no Severn Trent Water drain application and no Building Regs, neither have I received any money refunded. So I definitely would no recommend Allestree Design Services.

Steve recently designed our extension - from first contact the service we received was second to none. Communication was excellent and Steve made the whole process very easy, he even submitted the planning application on our behalf. He happily made a couple of tweaks to the design and being able to see the design in 3D was great.

Steve has done the drawings for our Dormer and single extension. We are more than happy with the what he's been able to do for us, adding the little extras to give the house more character and even willing to change certain parts if we wasn't sure, removing or adding. My husband had him up the wall with decisions and Google searches!

Since the day we met Steve, he's been very friendly, informative and answered all the questions we had.

Unfortunately my experience with Allestree Design Services was poor. I engaged this company for the design of a single room extension to replace an existing conservatory. There was certainly an issue with understanding what I required from the design and how to align that with current regulations, largely due to not fully understanding regulations on the allowable amount of glass. Communication, and as such, advice on how to proceed was poor. From my first instruction it took many amendments to the plan to achieve the required design. My plans were downloaded from Zoopla and were incorrect in terms of wall layouts and dimensions, real measurements were never taken at anytime, except by myself. Allestree design services were reluctant to correct the dimensions for submission to the planning department, and I did not want to submit a plan with known errors (some dimensions were 200mm out) to the authorities. Due to a continuing lack of confidence I chose to stop work with Allestree Design Services and appointed an alternative architect. I was refused any refund, meaning I have paid £400 for an incorrect floor plan and a rendered picture of the proposed extension. I also lost 3 months from my program. All in all an expensive experience I’d rather forget.
