A fantastic talent these guys have and the finish is amazing! Like many small businesses it's difficult to answer phones etc when have a welding gun in your hand but bare with them and you won't be disappointed!

Update on my problems with them. CCJ issued. They don't care!!

Absolutely do not use. £9000 set of gates. Nothing but problems from day one. Two years later its costing us £2000 to repair them with Grantham Gates completely none contactable.

We provided architect drawings and specs to Grantham Gates for them to provide a quote for a set of automated gates. They provided a quote which was around £9000. Up until this point they seemed good, honest and they were fairly well priced. We accepted their quote and paid a deposit. In the next few weeks they told us that they can't use the composite material that they quoted for. Communication became difficult at this point as they never answered the phone or replied to mesaged. Weeks later we managed to contact them and we agreed on a different material.

Throughout the whole process they have been nearly impossible to contact. I have had to drive to their workshop to contact them as they have hardly ever replied to any messages or phone calls. For anyone thinking of using them, I suggest visiting their workshop to see the sites and smells.

After the gates were installed, there have been multiple issues. Firstly when they brought the gates to our house to be installed, they were unsecured in their van so they arrived absolutely battered. So our shiny new gates needed fully redecorating as soon as they were installed.

Following the installation, the first big issue was a flaw with the material which we had agreed to change from Composite to Marine Plywood. They decided to use a completely different material without telling us which subsequently keeps cracking and requires constant filling and decorating. When we first noticed the cracks, it took over three months for them to respond to us.

Two years later, the automated system has completely broken. Grantham Gates are not contactable. We are paying another company £2000 to fix the problem which is purely due to Grantham Gate's unfit for purpose install. This has been confirmed by the manufacturer and a qualified electrician.

I have never left a bad review for anyone in my life however I urge everyone to stay away from this company. There are many other good gate companies out there.

To summarise, absolutely useless business with rubbish skills and even worse communication. Please do not believe any rubbish reply that they post and instead contact me if possible where I will be able to go through everything in detail with anyone who is considering using them. I feel obliged to do so, and it will make me feel a bit better if I can prevent anyone else from going through what we have been through.

Electric gates installed this week. They are fabulous! Really good quality. Neighbours have been positively commenting this morning! Really quick install and a very tidy job. A little slow in getting back to us at the start but they are a small family firm so you have to give a little that there isn't people manning an office - would highly recommend.

We are delighted with our new electric gates designed and fitted by Andre, Rene and their brilliant team. Every step of the process was straightforward and efficient. The prep work was carried out on time and the team were a joy to have at the property. Polite, friendly and extremely helpful. They even went the extra mile to help our neighbours with some heavy lifting. The gates were fitted without any problems and we are delighted with the finished product. I'm always sceptical when using tradesmen I find online. However, Rene came to measure the job up and delivered a competition beating price.

The railing they installed looks better than I expected and the team have done a fantastic job really paying attention to detail! It couldn't have been done better.

Cannot Recommend Customer Service. Have been chasing this company for 6 months to do a repair. They have promised twice to come and both times they have failed to appear. Call them at least once per week but they do not return calls. Have had to go out of the Grantham area to find a suitable alternative.

Don't bother with this company. I had a gate installed 18 months ago with problems initially, they do not answer the phone or get back to you. Eventually, they came out and fixed it but I have another problem and again they are not answering their messages.
