I cannot recommend a company enough! I've recently bought an old house and had the place checked by Mark of Maljon. He was prompt in arriving, knowledgable and friendly and gave me great advice afterwards. The experience could not be better. He even chose to partly refund some of the original cost due to not being there for the full amount of time he had allocated, which I didn't expect. 10/10 - wish all companies were like this!

Maljon came and inspected my parents property to see if there were signs of woodworm. The gentleman who came was helpful, however, it would have been good to know about the spray run off, the property had just been redecorated, and the workman who came used gaffer tape to secure the plastic sheeting to the wall. He sprayed the areas required and left.
When removed it stripped parts of the paint off, and as mentioned there are marks where the liquid has ran. They were offered £40 for paint, but are both pensioners so while this gesture is appriciated, it doesn't really do much to cover the cost to repair the damage done.

I made an enquiry with Maljon this week re some potential damp in a low level internal wall, within an hour I had a call back from Mark Bones who went through the issue with me. Fortunately no works are required, had they been I would have no hesitation in using Maljon.

We had a condensation issue in one of the bedroom walls where it was so bad it looked like a leak and there was mould growth. Maljon were recommended on Nextdoor and despite being busy, they slotted us in. Glenn visited promptly, assessed the situation, turns out it was better than we thought. He gave us advice on how to rectify it and did not charge for the visit. His and his company’s professionalism was obvious. I now recommend this company to anyone who has damp or condensation issues and will definitely call them if the issue arises again.
