Update: now more than a month later, another contracor has come and assessed the damage, but still no repair organised.

Irregular contact from McGoff making assurances it will be done "within the week", but no sign of it actually being done.

Original review: McGoff Group have been supposed to attend my address in Chester following damage being caused to the wall by the Virgin engineer who installed a fibre optic cable.

I have been given three dates an engineer was due to attend.

The first was cancelled by the company.

The second and third, the engineer just didn't show.

I had rearranged work commitments to be present, only for them not to show, with no communication letting me know they wouldn't be.

Three weeks down the line and I've still not had anyone attend.

Seems they get their business through Virgin, fixing their shoddy work, but put no effort into actually doing it.

It seems I'm stuck with them if they ever decide to show, but from this experience I would advise STRONGLY against using them for anything willingly.

By far the most inconsiderate and disruptive contractor I have ever known. Unable to manage staff, parking, litter. Unsafe working practices. Emails sent to head office and MD with no response. Plus they site I am referring to in Battle (Hazel Lodge) has taken nearly 3 years since its inception which is deplorable. No consideration whatsoever for the local community when under going projects.

Absolutely disgusting, complete disregard for local residents, parking over driveways, destroying grass verges, litter everywhere. Low loaders outside your door at 7.30 in the morning unloading noisy vehicles. Vans speeding up and down, blocking the road off for lengthy periods. Leaving the road in an absolute filthy mess, rude staff, completely unacceptable.

Meant to come out and fix the main wall which virgin media damaged

Told me a time to come to the house so I waited for over 2hours for a no show which was 8 until 10 am

I finally get a phone call at 4pm saying they not turning up as its raining

Very disappointed no courtesy call at all
Having me waiting outside for 2hours absolute joke
