I recently worked with David Synge of DMS Architects on a small extension project, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. David did a great job helping to find our properties full potential. The extension has completely transformed our home, allowing for a new layout that makes much better use of the available space. I highly recommend DMS Architects to anyone considering a home improvement or extension project.

We started our project with no clue as to how the whole planning and building control process works and hiring David made the entire process completely painless. After furnishing us with several great options for our extension (all of which included great layouts which we never would have thought about) David then took over the process of submitting the plans (and chasing the council for approval!). He also liaised on our behalf with a structural engineer for the steel work and led us seamlessly through the building control process. This would have been a whole lot more stressful without David, so thanks for everything!

This was our first building project of any kind, so we were looking for guidance and advice. David came highly recommended by a builder we’d approached for a quotation, and on meeting him we felt he was the perfect architect for our build. He listened to our ideas and what we were looking to achieve, and suggested how we might get there. He put so many ideas forward, some of which we hadn’t even considered, many of which were incorporated in the plans submitted. The plans David presented too us took in all that we’d discussed, we couldn’t have been happier. The whole planning application process went smoothly, David guided the plans through and kept us fully in the loop. We now have full planning permission and are ready to start the build in January 2024. We could not recommend David and DMS Architects more highly, he made it completely stress free.

David made the whole process very straightforward. He is so friendly and helpful, came up with an excellent plan for our project and used the space in a way we hadn’t even considered.. really elevating what we were hoping to achieve. Guided and supported us through each step of gaining planning permission and the building regs side of it too. Couldn’t recommend enough, 5 stars well deserved!

David provided an excellent service for us. What we particularly enjoyed was his focus on helping us explore options for our family needs and getting the right balance with design and budget. From our first meeting with David, my wife and I knew that we had found a great architect. David was actively involved in the discussions, offered up some brilliant ideas, and turned our thoughts into a design. David guided us through the whole process from start to finish, and made it all seem so simple. During our engagements with Party Wall consultants and a range of builders, all of them commented on how well done the drawings were, and our selected builder commented that they were some of the best architect's drawings that he had seen (in terms of layout and detail). We also found DMS Architects fairly priced, and great value for money. We would thoroughly recommend DMS Architects for any job, big or small.

I was preparing for the build of a small utility room on the rear of my property and was put in contact with
EDA Ltd. David arranged a visit within a couple of days and was very professional in his work and gave me a few suggestions regarding the build I had not considered. Within 2 days I had the preliminary drawings emailed to me to agree , everything to my satisfaction. I had a couple of silly questions about different things which David replied to almost immediately, or first thing the following day and then submitted the agreed drawings to the Building Regulations department. At all times I was kept updated with progress, and can not recommend David and his company highly enough. If you need an excellent and professional architect for your building requirements , definitely give David a call.
