FFDR were sent my my insurance company to assess storm damage, they denied the claim for damaged render stating the builder hasn't applied it correctly and "wear and tear" the render is 3.5 yes old and manufacturer K-REND advise it should have around 30yr lifespan, it's also been independently inspected and confirmed by 2 local companies who offer rendering and K-REND themselves as being installed as per manufacturer instructions and undergone a successful hammer test on the rest of the property, to which no damage or hollow sounds were observed. Considering the diabolical reviews I do not trust the opinion of this company and am now having to go to court to have my property repaired. I wouldn't be surprised if insurance company pay them to back up their denial of claims with false information.

For an all-trades building contractor to have their own building in such a terrible and frankly dangerous state of disrepair doesn't say much for them. Building Control should condemn the building. All that loose masonry as a serious hazard to the public walking below.

I have never come across such professional, skilled and conscientious tradesmen in my life. Not only were they exceptional in their work but were kind and courteous and very considerate of my husband who is seriously ill. I cannot recommend them enough and will definitely use them in the future.

I had the misfortune of having FFDR handle a broken pipe issue in my home after being awarded the claim by LV. They dispatched multiple people to our property, and despite all their attempts, couldn't fix the leak. Meanwhile, the British Gas team arrived and managed to rectify the issue in a mere 10 minutes. This was just the beginning of my troubles with FFDR.

After collecting an Excess of £350 from us, they set a date to complete the repairs. Yet, one month later and the work still hasn’t commenced. To add insult to injury, they abandoned the project citing a vague and flimsy reason. Communication with FFDR has been nothing short of a nightmare – they're either radio silent or spewing untruths.

Avoid FFDR at all costs. Their sheer lack of professionalism and honesty is astonishing.

If it were possible I would have given zero stars. FFDR were contacted (under our home insurance policy) to reinstate our bathroom and shower after an escape of water. From start to finish to experience was genuinely appalling, to the extent that we had to have the entirety of the work re-done privately through a private and competent contractor. The tradespeople rarely turned up when we were advised to expect them (we were left without a functioning bathroom for 5 months), and would arrive unannounced and access the property without our notice. During the work significant rubbish/debris was left dumped and never removed from outside our property, and there was significant cosmetic damage caused throughout the property through carelessness during the work. The quality of the work was extremely poor, to the point of non functional.

In trying to resolve these concerns FFDR were incredibly unhelpful and non responsive, and the surly/disinterested reception team could not have been less competent.

Finally after months of torment were able to get a ‘manager’ to the property to discuss the shambles in person. During this exchange he admitted it had been very hard to hire competent trades-peoples and that the work was far below an acceptable standard. Despite being hopeful we might finally make progress, we never heard from him again despite multiple attempts and formal complaints being made.

Another great job done by FFDR; windows replaced in 4 bedrooms.
Trades turned up on time, completed job with no fuss and left worksites tidy.
This is the 4th time we used FFDR for house renovations and each time the quality of work and the professionalism of the staff was of the highest standard.
Shout out for Derek the decorator.

FFDR completed an insurance job for us. All the tradesmen were very friendly and punctual. The work was completed to an exceedingly high standard and earlier than the scheduled completion date.

When you report damp in your house to your insurance. DO NOT accept FDDR to carry out the work. I have reported damp twice to my insurance, both times FDDR carried out the insurance work. However both times the dampness was not resolved. FDDR claims the money for work performed , but do not carry out the work to prevent the dampness. I have been in the construction industry for 45 years. I know how dampness curing and dampness prevention is carried out. FDDR do NOT contuct the works in accordance to building regulations and best practise. Avoid FDDR and inform your insurance not to employ FDDR.
