Alex has been a dream to work with. His work is of a very high standard, he is a great problem solver and has a keen attention to detail. He is mindful of projects budgets, suggesting ways to save money where necessary. He is a great communicator and transparent throughout, to ensure no surprises. He is by far the best contractor I have worked with and takes the stress out of a project. I would not hesitate to recommend Alex to anyone requiring a contractor and hope to work with him again in the future.

Professional, reliable and fair prices.
AFR did a full house refurbishment and conversion to 6-bedroom HMO in March - May 2024. Their work was very good, they completed on time and attended to inevitable snagging promptly and without any issue. Their price was very fair for the high quality of workmanship. They are very easy to work with and maintained a good level of regular communication throughout. I would have no hesitation in recommending AFR to any residential client. The only challenge will be getting a space in their diary!

I highly recommend Alex and his team to anyone requiring a builder. Alex has excellent communication skills, keeping us updated at regular intervals as the project progressed. He is experienced and very knowledgeable in his field, nothing is too much trouble. Alex always dealt with any issues that arose, head on, then provided us with various solutions. I found Alex to be extremely hard working, always pushing to meet any deadlines. I would not hesitate in using Alex and his team again for another renovation project.

I have been using A F Robertson for many years now, and across three different properties. Attention to detail is excellent. Their ability to think outside the box and be creative has been invaluable when it has come to fitting multiple kitchens and bathrooms. Keen to leave your home clean and clear of mess when finished too. I've not found another company that does all this and more. Hence I use them for everything!

In February 2018 AF Robertson completed a large kitchen extension for my wife and I.
The work was completed on time and as quoted. Any extras we asked for were priced reasonably

I can say now 5 years later we have had no problems and so can recommend this builder

From design, initial ideas, implementation and aftercare we could not have asked for more.
