A first class building contractor who has completed the following projects to a superb standard on a substantial period property in a designated Conservation Area, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, over the course of the last 15 years:

1. Complete bathroom refit: plastering, tiling, plumbing, bathroom installation
2. Refurbishment of attic rooms: roof insulation, velux windows, plastering, creation of new ensuite shower room
3. Substantial two story extension comprising large kitchen and master bedroom above
4. Conversion of former kitchen into an office, laundry and boot room
5. Groundworks and landscaping to create a new vehicular access onto the public highway along with foundations and brickwork for a three-bay detached garage

Acorn built extension onto house in need of total refurbishment. A difficult job professionally managed by Mark. Very conscientious and thorough throughout the build. Mark certainly knows his stuff. Top job, would definitely recommend and would use Acorn again.

Hi, this building contractors breached contract and we needed to do hours of work to go through mediation with the FMB which of course we didn’t want to do, we just wanted our extension completed. A terrible experience for our family. The builder wanted us to subcontract directly with third parties, we refused and the builder ended up just not completing the job, although mediation left us recompensed financially, it is difficult to get tradespeople to come to a job when a builder has left, especially as the market was hot at the time. We were left with a block built shell and only first fix plumbing completed. All complete now because we found great tradespeople with integrity to complete it but caused hell for us.
