We are first time self-builders, and decided to opt for a Potton home, to give us the additional support and handholding that we felt we needed for this project. We met Sean through this process, as our assigned architect/designer to work with us throughout the design and planning stages.

We struck gold, as Sean has been a revelation. Through his wealth of experience gained by designing hundreds of homes, he turned our sketchy wish list into an initial design, and worked tirelessly and patiently with us over the next few months through many iterations to refine the design based on our feedback. At each stage through this design cycle, he was always approachable, and was extremely responsive to our requests and questions.

He also helped us with the various surveys and reports that needed to get done in a timely manner, which were required for the planning application to succeed.

He also prepared and submitted the planning application for us, and liaised with the local authority planning dept to iron out a few last minute glitches raised by them, with the result that the application sailed through to approval.

The end result is our dream home, which we are now eagerly looking forward to build over the coming months. And we also feel reassured that Sean is only a phone call away if we need any further advice during the build stage.

Sean quickly and expertly understood our brief and produced a design that we are truly delighted with. The drawings Sean produced have really enabled us to visualise how the house will stand on our plot and how the layout will work to suit our way of life. He had infinite patience with the number of amendments we requested and was a great sounding board and source of advice and inspiration as the design developed.

Our planning process was a little tricky due to some local conditions. However, Sean managed the whole process on our behalf, liaising with the planning officer whilst keeping us fully informed, with the result being permission granted slightly ahead of schedule.

Throughout the whole process it has been clear that Sean is truly invested in ensuring that we build a house that is structurally first class, but also one which captures our dream.

Sean has worked with us over the last year to design a new build house on a sloping plot. He spent a lot of time with us as we refined the original design ideas to come up with the final proposal. The final design is quite striking and should fit in beautifully with the landscape on the plot.
