We hired AJG to complete a two-story side extension, and overall, the experience was great! From start to finish, the team was professional and easy to work with. A special mention to Charlie, Pat, and Zak, who were frequently on-site and went the extra mile to ensure things ran smoothly. Their attention to detail and willingness to address any concerns we had was appreciated.

There were a few minor delays, but AJG kept us in the loop and managed everything efficiently. The final result is exactly what we hoped for—our new space looks fantastic, and we couldn’t be happier with the quality of the work.

Really pleased with the outcome of the single storey rear extension that Alex and his team have created for us. Our work included the removal of existing conservatory to the rear of our house and the construction of a new permanent pitched roof rear extension that included knocking through into the existing house. Alex's communication was always great, with prompt and honest responses to any questions. It also felt like a genuine collaboration, where we could discuss the best and most cost effective approach to the build. Being a 1930s semi there was always going to be a few challenges, especially with the groundworks elements but these were worked through efficiently. Alex's core team were always polite, punctual, clean and tidy and the quality of their work was excellent. We were let down by our kitchen fitter (which was not arranged by AJG) and Alex helped to alleviate the situation for my family. AJG Construction built a single story rear extension for me in Shrewsbury from February – July 2023. Following quotes from three other contractors (all I was impressed by) I decided to use Alex and his team based on a combination of value for money, experience of similar work and possible start date.

Alex and his team were great to work with; considerate, polite, hard-working and generally pleasant to have on site. I was working on the existing house throughout the process. Alex and Zak were both accessible and helpful in developing plans and delivering them, handling all aspects from sub-contractors to building control and planning. Zak was especially helpful offering advice on other aspects of my renovation which weren’t within scope of their project.

Recommended to a friend down the road for a bigger project. Thanks Alex, Zak, Charlie, Pat and Cruz, I look forward to working with you again.

After first contact with AJG on Checkatrade, Alex has listened to our requirements for a new kitchen/diner renovation and responded quickly and professionally and been most helpful offering some excellent advice. The team have knocked the existing kitchen into the dining room, installed the necessary RSJ's, fitted a complete new pitched roof with Velux windows, installed new radiators, lighting and electrics, and changed the internal layout as requested.
They have all been friendly, knowledgeable, clean and tidy, and approachable. Would recommend them for any construction and renovation works.
